I made sure to update my card info last night... but I still had trouble ordering in the app this morning. When it finally let me order... I had to update my phone number.

But it's all good now! iPhone 12 Pro Max is on its way!

Ordered 3 Pro Max 256GB iPhones in blue, graphite and gold when the store went live! Odd how the Apple store app went live at 8:03am Eastern US on one of our phones, at 8:05am on my iPad, at 8:10am on another phone, and at 8:08am on my PC. The ordering process went much more smoothly for me than when I ordered the Pro version a few weeks ago and encountered errors when trying to check out. I’m surprised that as of 8:30am ET most of the Pro Max phones were still available for delivery on November 13th, since I assumed the Pacific Blue in particular would sell out quickly.

Surprised that Apple miscalculated demand (when they are often right). They planned for a much bigger share of iPhone 12s (vs Pro) and much more Pro Max (vs regular Pro) because that was the trend over the last few years (going bigger) and because the iPhone 11 sold so well (as did the iPhone XR).

The reality is most people went for the 12 Pro, leaving surplus units in the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro Max. Will see how it plays out the next couple of days but my sense that even the 12 Mini sales will surprise Apple. They will catch up by Jan/Feb if regular customers have a different mix of iPhones vs geeks like us.

Interesting that might be it. And splitting up the preorder times for the 4 models seemed (for many including me) to make the final order (after my Tuesday Preapproval) smoother than previous years. I went as always for the Pro Max, its better cameras, size (I have large hands ;-) )

The app on my iPad was not updating, and neither was Apple's page, opened the App on my iPhone and went straight through it and I'll be getting my Pacific Blue Pro Max!

Apple stated not to use the iPad or iPods to order, they said it wouldnt work.

I ordered a 256gb Blue mini from Apple Paid in full w AppleCare, I use xfinity but I don’t trust them to get me the phone, they were saying Dec 4th immediately. I imagine getting a sim won’t be fun but I’d rather go that route I traded my 256gb iPhone XS Max to apple for $370 which I thought was fair
