Down to 89% now. I've learned to live with the bad battery life and will just get a 13 Pro Max in a couple of months instead of having to get a replacement
Was thinking the same 🤷‍♂️

I’m surprised my battery health hasn’t dropped yet when it has been dropping every week or two.

hopefully it stays this way
Mine stayed at 93% a couple of weeks, now it's down to 91% in like 10 days...

Apple do not supply chargers in their phones
Apple clearly state there is the ability to use any compatible charger
Apple also clearly state the use of wireless chargers and indeed they sell their own also
Apple also clearly state fast charging and indeed they promote their own high capacity chargers for use in fast charging

what I am saying is that I want to be able to use my device as designed.

nowhere does it say use a 5w charger.

nowhere does it say you cannot leave your phone on charge overnight - indeed they launched optimised battery to help with that.

stop making excuses for the richest tech company in the world - these are terrible batteries in the 12 models.

I’m tempted to call Apple about this, but I’m not optimistic that they’ll do anything. My Apple Watch health is dropping way faster than my series 4 did, as well. The whole 80% thing is frustrating. I get there has to be some standard, but if a battery is deteriorating at unusual speed that should be addressed.

My 12 Pro, which was dropping 1% roughly every 10 days previously, has been on 92% since May 19.
Good to hear. I hope mine stays the same, we’re basically experiencing the same thing. I guess not all batteries degrade linearly.

I replace my phone every year, the same charging style and use , my iPhone 12 Pro Max have battery health bad as no any iPhone before , wireless charging - the same charger "Mophie" 10W what I bought for iPhone X.
I had my original iPhone from...whew, almost exactly 14 to the day, that phone lasted until July 2010. But same charging methods since iPhone 4 (5, 6+,8+ XS Max)...no problems after 2 years. Health was darn good after 2 years on the 6+ and especially XS Max before trade in.

The ONLY change is that I used MagSafe, OEM Apple puck, not 3rd party.
Again, I've seen posts here when this does not matter. Others using 5-10W chargers and showing the same problem

7 months in and I am at 86%, (iMazing, Coconut actually shows 84.1%?!) at 67 total charges - is just stupid in my opinion.

Same with mine. My 12PM hit 86% on June 17. It's June 27...and it's STILL showing 86%
I was losing 1-2% in 6-7 days..now it almost seemed like it slowed down. Actually with this unacceptable 86% health, I WANT it to drop fast, getting to that 80% number asap. (Only way Apple can replace this free)

More aggravating is daily battery life has noticeably been affected. I wasnt out too long yesterday...very limited use of the phone in 70-90min. Came home with the phone batt. life down from 100% to 82% - Again, seeing nothing in the background/apps draining this more.

I'm one of those with 104% capacity, but I too have noticed a DRASTIC decrease in battery longevity with this latest iOS. I used to be able to go days without charging, and now I'm burning through half my battery with very light usage.

I've observed my capacity in my phones since my iPhone 6+. They seem to rise/fall how they want, it's not consistent (at least it hasn't been for me). Also, remember even if your battery is <80% I've had Apple Stores refuse to replace batteries even though I was showing them the $80 because "battery is green."

Mine is now at 90% health. I've never had this happen in any phone before this, so I'm wondering, could this be a new way of measuring the battery, or are batteries degrading much, much faster? If it's the latter, wouldn't it apply to all iPhone 12s? Since it seems some people still have 100 or near 100, while some of us are at 90 or even below that, it could mean a defect of some sort.

Mine is at 104%. I’ve never had this happen before. So I’m wondering if the 12 Pro Max phones have really good batteries. My wife’s phone is same.

Well, I went again to the apple store, they gave me two choices, 1. Pay $69 for a battery replacement “since there was nothing wrong with it” or They would give me a “different version of the software” (technically restoring my phone as new”
I told them that im no average apple owner, and that i know enough to be dangerous lol.
so I went with the battery replacement…..and they had to order it.
I left and called apple again and finally ended up talking with a senior advisor. I’m told her my story again. And ultimately she is doing a rapid exchange (they’ll send me a new phone, and then I give them my phone back, the only catch is that they put a $1200 hold on your card. But you’ll get it back when they receive your phone)
There you go folks. Squeaky wheel gets the oil. Lol but it was a long process

Please let us know if you have the same problem with the new phone. Good luck to you!

Yes!! Most definitely!
I was wondering if anyone else is seeing a difference when people switched to the 20w charger.
I remembered with my XSmax, the battery capacity was draining fast whenever I started using the Qi charger.

I considered this option but didn’t want to risk them turning around and telling me there’s nothing wrong with the phone.

Same for me , it is at 88% since a couple of weeks now….I was looking forward to reach the holy 80% before September and 13 , but not sure anymore….

Decided to get an ERS replacement for this, green tint at low brightness, and a loose charging port (tried blowing out any debris with a can of compressed air and I don't have anything to poke around with). I haven't had this many issues with an iPhone and I started purchasing them in 2012 -- hopefully this is just a fluke

I'll contribute data in case it helps troubleshoot. iOS battery health shows 89%, coconut battery shows 3326/3678 mAh (90.4%). Battery was manufactured 10/05/2020 by Sunwoda and has gone through 143 cycles.

Has the replacement got green tint?

spoke to apple today, they said green tint is a software issue and they’re still working on it.

Launch day 12 pro max, battery health still 100% running 14.7 beta 4.

Replacement is coming tomorrow so I will update you. Checked the serial number on chipmunk.nl and it said manufactured week 18 2021 so if it's a hardware issue they may have fixed it.

I was able to get an ERS by saying the issue persisted from launch through 14.6 and they requested that I send a picture of the green tint. It's easily captured in a dark room
