So I posted on TUESDAY a picture of my Battery maximum being at 97%. And I check it today and it’s at 96%. I’ve called apple and went to the apple store and they ran “diagnostics” and they said it’s Normal.
but from Monday to today it dropped a percent. And you’re telling me nothing is wrong? Cmon!!
BTW this phone was purchased late November. /rant.
You’ll be just like the rest of us in a couple more weeks. I’m 9% left from getting a replacement.

let’s hope this is a software bug.

launch day 12 pro, im at 92%, weird thing its that after 4 months was still at 100%, then started degrading fast... my old 11 pro was 100% after a year...

I was at 93% with not many cycles having bought mine in November. My local Apple Store in Surrey, England replaced the battery because they thought it was odd. I turned up the next day to collect it and they hadn’t actually told me transparently that they had replaced the screen as well because the battery replacement had gone wrong in some way. I just saw this repair on an email setting out the repair which I only looked at later that day as I assumed it would just mention the battery repair. Nice of them not to tell me as my previous screen had a Belkin screen protector on, fitted for £30 at the same Apple store, and they didn’t bother to replace it. Classy company. I phoned up to complain, they said I could come back in and have it fitted but it would cost more in effort and petrol so I’ll get one from Amazon. I said they should’ve mentioned it when I picked it up that morning. I didn’t think to examine the screen that closely because I wasn’t aware that anything had been done. £1000 device, might be my last.

Screen protector fitted already, I don’t feel quite so bad about this as I guess they replaced the battery and screen as required. I just wish that Apple would be more transparent about such issues even if it is with a small number of users. Interesting why the screen should be compromised by a battery repair, more advanced users of this forum will know why, I haven’t a clue!

Guys start using 5W charger overnight. U will not see a drop I believe.
12 pro max launch day purchase.

Battery health is fake news, just a rough estimate, wouldn’t even bother looking at it.

I’ve been using a 30W apple fast charger and recently a belkin 3-1 MagSafe charger, battery health is still 100%. Charge my phone daily. 🤷‍♂️

So I mentioned to the “genius” that my XSMax took about a year to drop to 99%
and they said that was “weird”

What is particularly strange is that The Spouse has my old iPhone X that is over 3 1/2 years old and it's at 92% with a warning from Apple saying that the battery is severely degraded and needs service and to contact Apple. Yet there are people here reporting that their launch day iPhone 12's are at 92% and Apple says that's NORMAL? WTH!

doubt it. Battery runtime day-to-day has gone down the toilet with more recent iOS updates and my battery lasts 30-40% less (not an exaggeration) compared to prior versions

Apple will probably one day announce a battery replacement program for "a small percentage of users affected"
I am hoping it was the same issue with the iPhone 11 Pro, which Apple implemented a battery health recalibration tool.

Been posting and following this thread. Hit 90% today. At this rate, about 2% a month, Apple will be replacing my 12 Pro and wife’s 12 by Thanksgiving.

Both purchased on release day. It has to be bad, or cheap batteries.
My question is what if it's sitting at 81% or even 82% on the 1 year anniversary since you bought the phone? Is Apple really going to deny the free replacement?

Well...dumb ques. sure they can. But they shouldn't! Guess this comes down to a managers decision. Ridiculous.

Well the way I am looking at it, the worst than can happen is it will cost my $69.

Bought AC with phones. Will be getting part of my cost back. So, no stress here.

Battery health dropped 1% once again after restoring and setting up my phone as new. Currently sitting at 90% on my 12 mini. I am now awaiting a call from a senior representative which I had previously talked with, to see what we do next.

I honestly think it all depends on how you charge your phone and how frequently.
I pkace it on an Anker MagSafe charger at night and the wife plugs her’s in to her old iPhone 7 charger at night. We are both at 90%. Explain that? I really believe it is cheap or bad batteries?

Only use Apple certified Charger…

Try using 5W charger which has low electric voltage. The slower the better.

Are you charging your phone with a case on? If so it is also generating heat… causing the battery to be damage.

I’m surprised my battery health hasn’t dropped yet when it has been dropping every week or two.

hopefully it stays this way
