Yeah, mine was at 84% for a good 6 weeks after updating to 14.7, 14.7.1. Before that it was a steady decline. Now at 83% for the last 9 days.Mine dropped steadily until it hit 87%. It has stayed there for a month. Go figure.

In me experience, the reason why I am just willing to pay the $69 bucks because - well to put it bluntly, the battery drain now is just miserable. For me, I should not lose 10%+ when I go to the darn store for 30 minutes - phone it just in my pocket not even being used. It's simply frustratingIt doesn’t make sense. If you’re willing to pay why not just wait until the battery is actually done for to get it replaced. Why would you wanna waste money by getting it replaced early? There’s no point in doing that unless you’re trying to sell it to someone.
And yes you are correct, this is a good point. We don't know. The problem is, how do you know the replacement won’t be just as bad?
We don’t, but it won’t be as bad right away. This phone started out with stellar battery life. The problem is, how do you know the replacement won’t be just as bad?
Well it was far better that's for sure. Just shy of 3 months old in late Feb, I had a 100% drain overnight - unexplainable. Even to the Apple Genius Bar. (This is when I posted here, started following this thread)We don’t, but it won’t be as bad right away. This phone started out with stellar battery life.
Not really true. I have that same battery manufacturer for my 12 pro max that i got on launch day and still remains 104%. Even Sunwoda can be bad too depending on when it was made. My wife had one that had the Sunwoda and battery capacity dropped rapidly within 2 weeks so my wife ended up returning it and got a new one.My 12 Pro Max is currently at 3254 mah, 88.3% by design capacity (system shows 88%), manufactured by a Desay corporation. I wouldn’t be surprised if everyone with a trash battery had a Desay corp. battery.
Then I guess the quality control standards have been reduced drastically and like someone said earlier, it depends on the luck of the drawNot really true. Break the damn screen and pay the $29. Better battery and a new scratch-free phone. Two for $40 cheaper. In me experience, the reason why I am just willing to pay the $69 bucks because - well to put it bluntly, the battery drain now is just miserable. How interesting. My wife is 100% MagSafe and I'm 100% wired. Tho, she leaves her phone on MagSafe all night long while I only charge when I need to (60-80%). She's 95% while I'm way over 100%. Interesting indeed. This is the first time since the 6+ (when I started monitoring with coconutBattery) that we have had more than a few % difference between us. (We always get same phone).i did an experiment this time. Both my wife and i use our iphones very similarly. We dont plug in during the day and just charge at night.
I decided this time to charge via wireless charging exclusively, and my wife on wired (5w charger from her old iPhone 8).
Her battery capacity is still at 99%. Mine is at 95%. 9 months in. FWIW.
I exclusively wireless charge my 12 Pro Max and battery health is at 93%.
Coconut battery is what most people useWhich program are you using to check battery health month by month?
I’ve had my 11 (non pro) for just about 2 years now and the battery health is down to 84%. I’m not worried about it one bit either. I‘ll likely decide to trade it in for a 13-mini. But, if I decide to keep it one or two more years no big deal either since it’s only $69 to have Apple replace the batteryI've had my 12 Pro for almost 6 months and it's at 94% health.
I've decided not to worry about it. I have AppleCare+ and if it hits 80% while I still own it, I'll just have the battery replaced.
I still need to charge it only once a day, at bedtime.
