How the hell do you guys do 6, 8, 10 or even more hours of screen time before charges? Good Lord, I think I must be the only person on this forum that doesn't live on his iPhone.

I work two jobs. One is in an industry where I use my phone to demo things to people, the other I use it to schedule clients and facilitate my invoicing. I also use it as a display for my side business. That, on top of my personal entertainment, news, and productivity for personal life use in a day, it’s easy to get up there in hours.

Also, usually during the first week or two, I’m on it a lot more, having fun with the new toy.

Day two use.

Seems to be draining at 5% per hour on real use (screen on, Bluetooth, standby, etc).

Will not charge overnight to check consumption tomorrow.

Anybody else having an issue with the Mail app consuming a lot of battery in the background? I only have a single email account set to fetch every hour and have tried to delete the email account and sign in again but it doesn’t appear to have helped.

Today was my first day really using the phone. 18 hours off the charger and 2 hours 25 minutes of screen on time and I was at 68%. Easily a 2 day phone for me. Seems pretty similar to my XS Max.

Ok 14 hrs since I took mine off the charger. I wasn’t on my phone much today due to work. 39% end of day. Wow great battery life.

I'm getting around 10h SOT with 95% on Wifi. Instagram, Snapchat, Whatsapp, Facebook and 1h Apple Music streaming over Wifi + LTE

Battery life has been good. Haven’t plugged in in about a day and a half (late Sunday night and it’s currently Tuesday morning) and I’m at 40%. I’m not a heavy user though. Over 6 hours screen on so far, but mostly just social media, texting, email, and some light web browsing. One phone call about 45 mins long. A few hours of music with screen off.

Question: this is my first OLED display. Do dark colours (eg. dark mode, and dark wallpaper) actually make a noticeable difference in terms of battery? I know that it helps in theory, but in practice??

Anecdotally I’m doing well with battery today. It’s 8pm and I’m on 60%. I’d usually be on about 30%. I don’t see this as being a day and half of battery or two day battery, but certainly extremely workable! I’m a happy camper.

Can someone explain to me why I always get 0 minutes of screen off in the last 24hrs when I access the usage statistics? Is there something I’m missing? Because I’m sure as hell I didn’t have the screen on the whole time.

Sounds like a rogue app running in the background. Do you have background app refresh turned on or off?

Today was the first day I got to mess with the phone since I got it couple of days back and organise apps & widgets.
WiFi all day, True Tone on, dark mode, auto brightness (~30%), bg refresh off for most apps, location services on for handful settings.
I literally didn’t put it down today and battery life has been amazing, 43% still left at the time of taking this screenshot.
