Won’t ever happen anyway thankfully, Apple will just go completely wireless if forced to drop lightening
Months after that discussion stopped you still believe that Apple will go completely wireless?
European Anti Apple law doesn't allow Apple to go completely wireless and this time there is no way for Apple to bypass this law.
And Apple is already testing USB-C. Lightning is dead - you cannot transfer 1TB (or the propagated 2TB of the iP14) using an outdated and rotten Lightning connectior (and forget about wireless transfer).

Transferring data using any cable is even more outdated than lightening, didn’t think anyone had done that since about 2009

Yup and I'm just saying most Canadians don't have 1300+ to spend on their phone every two years. Exchange rates kill non Americans on the cost of Apple products. I feel like a lot of Americans in this forum kind of forget about that. Not just exchange but our lowest sales tax province is like 12% GULP!

Even more fun to buy a new car.
Someone has to pay for your health care system!!

this is the boat I am in. 12 pro max with 88% battery health. Pro motion is enough reason for me to upgrade. The only thing I’m wondering about is trade in value of the 12 pro max models when the 14 releases.

I would never use Apple because AT&T is still giving $800 trade-in on an XR.

Does that 1300 include selling your iPhone 11 to help cover upgrade costs?

I think you missed a few posts $1300 already included trading your phone in. Sell it your self for another couple hundred bucks is still a grand plus. That's a lot of clams to spend on a phone yearly for most people.

Well then obviously you shouldn't be upgrading to a Pro Max with a big SSD every year.

Let me say it again, maybe look at the original post with the attachment before replying or just don't reply to something that doesn't really need to be replied to? Or you don't live in the country that is being referred to for pricing?

It IS the base storage. iPhone pros are expensive. Especially in Canada and most people shouldn't waste money upgrading to a new one every year especially in Canada. We don't get provider discounts with out signing up for absurdly expensive phone plans per month approx $100+ so upgrading often isn't the best move in these parts so most people are better off with buying iPhones outright, getting a monthly plan at half that price+ and holding on their iphones for a longer period of time. Especially since they hold their resale value so well.

Is that enough of an explanation for you to get my point that was supposed to be funny sarcasm and not taking super seriously?
