Agreed. Listening for Hey Siri is usually the first thing I turn off. While I use it, I like to activate it myself, not have it listening to every word I say - because I usually activate it right in the middle of a presentation, or something embarrassing.

To those videos saying to turn off a ton of useful functionality:
That said, a lot of people think they have to turn off a ton of features on their phone to eek out a tiny bit better battery life when just turning down the brightness a little and/or using Dark Mode would have a bigger effect. I get great gas mileage driving my civic. I'd get even better gas mileage in my civic if I just shut the car off. :p

I turn it off because I just use it on the HomePods and I hate it when my phone‘s Siri turns on.

On the HomePods I can use multiple timers on the iPhone not

out of curiosity, does someone own a MagSafe battery pack? I‘m planning to go to London this weekend and probably need some extra juice to make it through the day with a lot of navigation. I saw it in an Apple Store and I like the size. I want to use it during eating or riding in the underground. How is the charging speed?

Thank you, this explains a lot. Dark mode with OLED panels consume a ton less energy as they are completely shut off on the black parts. Also the Pro Max battery is massive. Nice one
Settings->Mail->Accounts->Fetch New Data->Push is disabled in Mail. Is that what you meant?

Pretty happy today given did use it on 4G/5G . 29% left

In the name of “science” I kept my phone on 5G all day whilst WFH. About 75% battery for 4 hours SoT. I would have got more if it wasn’t for a photos app bug I discovered that causes the CPU to spike pretty badly. To sum up, I think on the pro non max expect 8-9hr SoT with regular usage and 5-6hr SoT on 5G/4G.

One thing I am noticing is that people are posting the last 10 days graph only. It would be good to also post the last 24 Hours graph as well. The last 24 Hours graph shows how fast the battery was being used.

I tried airplane mode while sleeping (7:30h) and it dropped from 70 to 65 but with wifi on

Had the 13 Pro Max but returned it as I wasn’t sure if I should upgrade from my current iPhone. Was wondering if the 13 Pro’s battery life is comparable to say the 11 Pro Max when it first came out in 2019. Can anyone opine on this?

The stupid 24h graph isn’t working properly for me 🤦‍♂️

It’s meant to reset at midnight, not doing it. 🤦‍♂️

77% left 3h27m usage.

The last 10 days is the correct usage, don’t know what’s happened with the 24h graph. 🤦‍♂️

I do have one that I have yet to really use on my 13 pro. I did use it often on my 12 pro. It is a weird product. Best way to use it for me was to simply start the day with it as opposed to slapping it on when the phone was low. Then once the portable battery was empty, take it off and enjoy your phone for the remainder of the day. For traveling, it is convenient. I know it isn't the cheapest in terms of magnetic batteries, but I do think it is probably the most user friendly. The idea that is does some of the thinking for me is preferred. It will be a nice little addition to this new phone too while traveling.

Also have the anker option. Also enjoy it and it is a little more straight forward in my experience. It is a little "dumber" though and will heat up the phone since it is just a Qi charger with a magnet.

* 13 Pro
* iOS 15.0.1
* 8 hours screen on time (20 min outdoor usage in broad daylight)
* 10% battery remaining
* was on Verizon 5G/LTE for 3 hours using Carplay (2hrs) and GPS for about an hour from 1-430PM, the rest was indoor wifi.
* would be great to see people's detailed usage per app to get a gauge of actual usage.
* would be nice if posters can show 24hr battery details by subtracting night before usage so it reports full day usage more accurately
* draining to zero would have hit ~8:45 to 9 hr SOT comfortably. well in range of expected battery life for a 13 pro.

First 13 Mini: Here's my full daily usage from 81% down to 7%. All 5G, Not on low power mode. Very disturbing that both Google Podcasts and TG are running in the background even after I turn background refresh off and closed out the apps for the entire day.

2nd Mini: Charged to 100%. No Sim/ All Wifi. Just left it on the table for 24 hours with occasional pick ups to check battery. Down to 75%. Damn Telegram is draining.

Coworkers/Family/Friends wonder why I don't put Teams/Discord/Slack on my cellphone. I'd be charging my 12 Pro Max 2-3x a day if I had those things installed.

Not sure if it’s just placebo, but I’ve gone from light to dark mode on my 13 Pro and seen a significant improvement in battery life. Going to test over the next few days but seems promising.

You will definitely see longer battery life with dark mode on. It has to do with the way OLED panels work. Black means off pixels, saves a lot of power.

Not seeing fantastic results today. 3.5hr SoT with 75% battery usage. Quite a lot of use on cellular in the morning and from 16:30. Feel a bit underwhelmed tbh unless there’s some software fixes inbound.. considering a hard reset as I transferred from my older iPhone 11 Pro.

Any advice what I should do? My 13 Pro Max battery has just got horrible today. Just lost 3% in 22 min surfing the web. Didn’t touch the phone between 9am and 11am and went from 100 to 93. Should I just wipe it out and start over? Before the official release my battery life was crazy good. After 15.01 has been completely sporadic.
