I can basically use a couple of hours of the iphone 13 pro with the screen on before it goes below 20%. This seems way worse than my 12. Apple Watch is connected. Any tips/insights…?
What where you doing during that last hour?

Mostly Safari while trying to research iPhone 13 battery drain issues. second screenshot when I when down to ~5%. Gave in and did an entire phone reset and it seems to be doing better (first pic), have not paired Apple Watch yet.

It happened when I browsed macrumors forum, my 13 mini drained quickly and got hot. I’m not kidding

This forum is known to drain battery, ads or I don't know. Install an ad blocker or use Tapatalk. But autonomy while browsing this forum is not indicative of your real iPhone battery life

when I first got my 13 pro max the battery life seemed amazing but today it’s dropped 11% in the last 2 hours? Currently at 79% from 91%. I’ve only really had Spotify playing and that wasn’t constantly ?

Hi there, can I know is there a way to keep the battery life healthy? or prolong the batt cycle?
I was told to charge it at 20% and end it at 80%.
and not to go zero most of the times

Personally, I am sticking to the 80/20 rule for charging my 13 Pro Max. I am also not doing any fast charging. I am using a 12 watt charger. Takes more time to slow charge but it won’t heat up like fast charging can do. I also use a HomeKit smart plug and have an automation script which turns off the smart charger when the charging reaches 80%.

boas 24 horas sem o Apple Watch durante a noite foram mais 15% á vida

Maybe you want to try connecting your phone via USB to lightning cable to a Mac computer, backup your phone to the computer. Leave the phone connected to the computer with the USB cable, put the phone in Recovery Mode, do a restore of iOS and then restore from backup on the computer.

I had a case not so long ago where the battery life on my 13 Pro Max was getting about 9 hrs. I did the Recovery Mode and it help to the point the battery life is great again for me.

Your battery life still looks very impressive. You had 2:00 from 11% battery, estimate for 100% battery usage 18:10. The battery life you had prior to looks like you were estimated to get over 12:00 100% battery usage.

This is what i do, too. I no longer charge it over night. I just put it on charge while getting ready for work each morning and set up an automation to send a notification to my Apple Watch when it reaches 80% so I can take it off charge.

Clear all your website data and cookies for safari and also uncheck iCloud for safari temporarily and report back

The other thing to try is doing the Recovery Mode and setup as a new device. Don’t restore from backup. If the battery still drains then get the phone replaced. That is what Apple Support will want you to do before they would agree to replace it. If you have AppleCare+, on your phone, you can request an Express Replacement. With Express Replacement, Apple sends you a replacement and when you receive the replacement you send back the faulty phone.

Maybe you want to try doing the setup as new just before you go to bed and see if you have the same battery drain over night.

I use a third party custom widget on my 13 Pro Max. I had the custom widget transferred over, from my iPhone 6S+ to my 13 Pro Max when I initially setup my 13 Pro Max. The last couple of days I have noticed that the custom widget was using a lot of battery in the background. For a 24 hour period, the custom widget was showing up as almost 10 hours of background usage. Even in standby I was seeing about 6% battery usage when the only thing using the battery was the custom widget.

The interesting thing is that from the tine I had setup my 13 Pro Max until maybe 4 days ago, the custom widget was not using a lot of battery. I was primarily using it to see the current battery percentage from the home screen. I decided to uninstall the custom widget, as it was using too much battery.

EDIT: Apparently something got corrupted on my phone because I am seeing the issue where a song will just appear as Now Playing in Control Center. I had this issue happen previously and I fixed it by doing a backup and Recovery Mode and restore fro backup. Not sure what happened. I am now doing a backup and Recovery Mode again.

I have done a Recovery Mode and Update which only replaces the OS and not erases the contents. If that does not work then I will need to do a Recovery Mode and Restore, which will erase everything and put a fresh copy of the OS. I would need to do a restore from backup in that case.

The only way to know for sure if it is a faulty device, is to set it up as a new device and don't restore from backup. Something might be corrupted on your device and restoring from backup could have also brought over the problem. Try setup as new before you put your phone into standby for the night and in the morning see if there was a lot of battery drain. If there is still a lot of battery drain, then Apple will probably replace the phone as it is faulty.

The key thing here is that you need to make sure it is not setup from a backup of the phone.

Barely had my iPhone 13 a week, but I don't feel a dramatic difference from my iPhone XR. Maybe it still needs some time to break in?

You have perfect results of the usual everyday use. Yeah, battery on this thing is very variable - monotonuos simple task like browsing can get to 10-11 hr estimated, but the real life is 6-7 hours of SOT.
While 13 PM of my wife constantly hits 10-13 hrs a day, which makes me want to switch instanteneuosly.

Otherwise, i wouldn't break a sweat with charging, scripts, 80% and morning top off - i just put it overnight and apple's battery replacement is not that expensive for once in 2 year expense.
