Read this and decide what you really need. One of the main battery drains is background refresh and I see that Instagram is on your list. You don't need background refresh to get notifications. It's just preloading stuff. This needs a lot of power.
Thanks, I'll try disabling background refresh.

Good morning. Is this normal? I just woke up and checked how it charged last night. For same reason all the battery history is gone. Disappeared. Did it happen to anyone else?

Here you go , mine did it again. Took the shift off. 🤣

iPhone 13 Pro Max
iOS 15.2
I had my first not so great battery life usage today. Nothing stands out why it was happening.

Never seen the flat liner of no battery usage during long durations since on 15.3 beta . I miss those horizontal lines 😂
I just realized my battery chart looks like a boot. It kind of reminds me what the map of Italy 🇮🇹 looks like. :D

Heh, cheers from Italy ???

That graph look really weird, with those super steep valleys. Never happened to mine albeit I'm not one who has great battery life (or, it only happens when I use the camera or intensive games)

iPhone 13 Pro Max
iOS 15.2
2:30, 20% battery.

The battery usage seems to be better since I did the Recovery Mode Update. Hope this resolves the issue for me.

iPhone 13 Pro Max
iOS 15.2
4:15, 35% battery. The battery life is much better since I did the Recovery Mode Update.

Could you help with a quick run through of how this process works?
Sure. Connect your phone to a Mac computer. Get the iPhone in Recovery Mode. Select your iPhone device in either iTunes or Finder window on the Mac computer. Select Update. The latest iOS version 15.2 will be downloaded and your iPhone's iOS will be refreshed.

No readding cards on Apple Pay? No reconfiguring iCloud, downloading apps or anything at all? I already did a DFU reset once but don't remember what I did after XD might do it again

A Recovery Mode Restore will erase all of the iPhone storage including the user data. An Update will not touch the user data. Look at the link I posted above, there is a screen shot in there where it explains the difference between Update and Restore. You won’t be doing a DFU, you will be doing a Recovery Mode.

Oh right, missed that. Thanks. Anyway I did a restore today, then uploaded an old backup, so I might have had the same effect anyway.

Woke up this morning and the battery of my fully charged iPhone13 Pro has drained to 10% without using it. I was recognising the last days that the battery life seems reduced but I wasn't sure. But this is now pretty obvious. Anyone else experienced this? (Background App refresh is disabled, no apps were running in the background etc.)

With that stats I’d recommend contacting apple straight. You’ve got obvious proof of a dysfunctional battery.

If you have an Apple Watch paired with your iPhone, try unpairing it, restart your phone and watch, and pair your watch again.

The other thing to try is doing a Recovery Mode Update (see post #1366 above).

I started with the same drain issue only a few couple days ago, iphone 13 here. It used to last almost 3 days with pretty low usage. Now after 1 day usage its 50%.

Also coincides with the cold. I know 4C is not too low for you in the States but here is more or less "cold".

After updating to 15.2. and restarting the phone the problem seems to be solved. Maybe this was a one off for whatever reason. I'll keep watching.
