Love my 13 pro max glad I pre ordered early as I am one of those who upgrade every year to keep a good battery

Right here is minus 2 iPhone 13 sales for Apple. Was going to take 2 perfect condition XRs to T-Mobile for the $800 credit for each XR for 13 purchases.

Then I read the horror stories of T-Mobile giving a fraction of the $ promised for the trade-ins. Sometimes denying any $ at all.

It was a hard hell no after that. Will wait and see where the chips fall next year.

This was always going to happen on a 'phone it in' year for hardware and software updates.

Apple need to rebuild iOS for large screens, actually put some 'pro' features into their Pro devices (you know, obvious stuff like manual photography controls) and tell the industry how the next decade will look.

I won't doubt the overall quality of iPhones (or any other Apple device) but I could make a strong arguement that Apple are not the market leaders anymore. Its not enough to make consistently good-enough devices when the competition is at the same level and in many ways going in new directions. I'm not saying foldable phones are the future but at least its an attempt at something new.

I still can't see a reason to upgrade from my iPhone X. Even though I imposed a personal upgrade cycle to 2023, if I still don't see a reason and the X still gets support, I will be pressing on.

The same component vendors Qualcomm and Texas Instruments [TI supplies Qualcomm and Apple, etc] are all constrained. This isn't a lessoning of demand. It's a demand outstrips supply due to key component constraints that impact all vendors, globally.

I still think ProMotion is a huge upgrade. Though I know many people don’t notice.

Aside from the camera for night shots and promotion there isn't a huge difference from the 11 to 13. If Apple ignored 120hz screens for years then I doubt most Apple users care about it yet. I was at the Apple store yesterday playing around with the 13 lineup and thought the photos in the photos app looked good. However I went into the details section and noticed the majority were taken on the iPhone 11 pro cameras.

So pics showing in display models of the newest phones were taken on 2 year old 11s? Interesting.

Generally iPhones are sold in large numbers for the holiday season. Sales should be good this year too.

The 13 Pro Max may have the single-best Back Wide image sensor Apple ever offers; they're going to a 48 Mpx with pixel binning next year.

Also, the additional SRAM in the A15 makes a very BIG difference, both for Perf & for Power Efficiency !
Yea, but next year the 14 Pro Max may have the single-best Back Wide image sensor Apple ever offers.

Also, the additional SRAM in the A16 makes a very BIG difference, both for Perf & for Power Efficiency !

So there's that.

I’m the owner of iPhone 13 Pro Max with 512GB and it’s really zippy. The battery life is spectacular. The display is luscious. I’ll be off the market for a smartphone for years to come.
Oh thank god, I can carry on with my day now.

Of course demand is down. When there aren't phones available to buy and ship few are going to bite.

Whether it's supply chain issues or if phones are sitting on cargo ships in the ports for the last month, who knows, but it's sort of killed the holiday season sales for Apple.

People should do like me until they don’t add usb c on… you don’t don’t buy a new one!

After seen that users will complain for the large files transfer for 4K high res film files we will maybe have it soon and come on eu kil the ass of Tim!
Lack of USB-C was the one thing preventing me from buying it. But ProRes video, can't let it pass me by, heheh!

“It’s that time again! Yes, it’s December so it’s time for receiving annual gifts that no one wants: Fruit cakes, holiday sweaters and “news” that Apple has cut iPhone orders.

Writing for the goblin-infested warren of ancient dwarf mines that hides an unspeakable darkness (not a balrog, but a guy who writes about things like how surprisingly tolerable it is to fly economy class, which is demonstrably worse than a balrog) known as Business Insider, Matt Weinberger details the collapse.

“CREDIT SUISSE: Apple’s newest iPhone is underperforming, but a mini iPhone could save the day.” (Tip o’ the antlers to @JonyIveParody.)

Apple is cutting orders for the components to build iPhones because of weak demand for the new iPhone 6s, according to a new report by Credit Suisse.

Right. OK. Sure.

Look, this is not exactly the first time this has happened. It happens around this time of year because Apple ramps up orders for launch in the fall and holiday season and then cuts back on orders for the post-holiday quarter. For some reason, this is shocking every year because analysts and Business Insider writers are like babies and do not remember things exist when they do not see them right in front of their eyes. Also, their heads might be soft. The Macalope has no direct knowledge of that but it seems likely.”

NO surprise there, Dan Ives was just pumping Apple on CNBC again !

He's been "Shouting from Rooftops" that an iPhone Megacycle is coming for five years in a row now, yet NONE of the data supports it, but that doesn't stop CNBC from having him keep coming back !

NO different than Munster with his Apple TV predictions, for five years in a row !

When will CNBC wise up ?

Perhaps never !

There is a reason some of us refer to it as "CNBC for Dummies".

IMO, Jeffrey Kaval, Toni Sacconaghi, Dan Niles, & Rod Hall, appear to have the best handle on Apple !

Munster, Ives, Huberty, & Cramer ALL appear to simply be "AAPL Cheerleaders" !

Apple has informed some of its component suppliers that demand for the iPhone 13 models is slowing ahead of the holidays, reports Bloomberg. Reports of weakening demand come as delivery estimates for the iPhone 13 and 13 Pro have started to improve, with the devices available to ship before Christmas.

iPhone-13-Pro-Feature-Blue.jpg

Apple in October cut 2021 iPhone 13 production by as many as 10 million units because of industry wide chip shortages. Apple was planning to produce 90 million iPhone 13 models in 2021, but Broadcom and Texas Instruments were unable to deliver enough components.

According to Bloomberg, Apple was aiming to make up the shortfall in 2022 when supplies improve, but Apple has now informed vendors that it may not end up getting the necessary orders from customers.

During Apple's fourth quarter earnings call in October, Apple CEO Tim Cook said that the supply constraints on iPhones, iPads, and Macs had already cost Apple around $6 billion, and that the supply issues would continue into December.

At launch, available iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro models sold out quickly, and for a good month after launch, there were long lead times on shipments. Cook said during the call that Apple was "working feverishly" to boost iPhone 13 supplies, and it appears that stock is now catching up with demand.

So much weakening demand lol.

Come back at the end of January for the Christmas Quarter report "Apple". Apple will have informed us that they sold a sh*t ton of iPhones somehow - more than even last year. $100B + revenue. Then it's like - "Hey! Bloomberg has been making negative Apple stock articles every year that say the same 'Waaaaaaning' stuff and they are always wrong!" Wallstreet suits love the churn.

The iPhone 13 is not there for the people already using the iPhone 12. It’s for the people who are still using a 3-4 year old iPhone.

I have 128GB iPhone 12 and I am running out of storage space. I just picked up 256GB iPhone XS used for $270. I honestly can’t feel the difference between iPhone XS and iPhone 12. Although I have no desire of iPhone 13 this year, from what I heard around me, iPhone 13 doesn’t offer much, even compare with iPhone XS.

To me, annual iPhone upgrade is just little bit faster processor and some camera improvements. I really don’t see how Cinematic video is such big deal for average joes.

You will notice from game that take advantage of high refresh rate, but other than that, it is not noticeable.

Heck, I can’t notice ProMotion from my 12.9 iPad Pro.

Well, what do you mean by that really? Data supports it - what do you call the all time biggest revenues every quarter this year??? Really, what are you referring to Willis?

Christmas Quarters have been crazy good last year and this year is going to be even bigger, which amazes me.

We are in a good spot for iPhone numbers and iPhone revenues - For sure I'd be calling it a super cycle. It is mind-blowing to me, so I am wondering how you can say that the data doesn't support this - it clearly does support it!

So you’re saying the analysts being demonstrably wrong about AAPL price targets are right and the ones being right are wrong. Got it.

I only upgraded because Apple offered nearly $800 for my 128GB 12 PM. Otherwise I would have sat this release out too. Now that we're nearly 3 months into the cycle, and trade-in values have dropped, demand will continue to fall.
