Apple Support told me the 12 Pro Silicone case will fit the 13 Pro. I’m guess fits but not perfectly (I seem to recall this was the case for a previous generation transition as well) - behind just the overall thickness, the 12 Pro case bevels inward toward the camera while the 13 Pro case looks to have a protruding lip around likely a thicker camera bump (so 12 Pro case probably won’t protect 13 Pro camera bump when laid down)

If you don't mind a phone that's twice as thick folded with a battery that lasts half as long.
The battery doesn't last half as long as the 12 Pro Max for one (remember you don't own the Fold 3), and for two, no I don't mind it being not quite twice as thick and not nearly as wide when folded to have a phone and mini tablet in one device. Oh, and how about that notch? 🤣

Battery components are dense so it makes sense they contribute towards more weight.
That and phone case manufacturers including Apple are rejoicing once again!

It was hard to finally retire my 6s but I got a 11 pro refurbished and it’s the best decision I made. I still miss Touch ID but I finally have all day battery. At the end of the day I still have 50 to 60% battery left. Just amazing workhorse. It’s heavier than my 6s but the battery makes up for the extra weight.

At this point I’d only upgrade if Apple brought back Touch ID on iPhone 14.

I will say that anybody that claims that they can see the difference is full of crap. As it is 0.25 mm thicker...that is 1/4 of a mm. That is bordering on the thickness of a business card.
I can see the difference in the camera bump, and so can Stevie Wonder. But oh my the selfies will be amazing I'm sure. So much better than last year's selfies 🤣

How's the multi-tasking? 😆

Cue the rants about ranters.
A lot of Appleaniacs including myself are disappointed today. If the core isn’t happy the masses won’t be happy which means concerning year ahead for our most loved brand.

Blind love is bad love.
Nah, the "masses" are not that picky, they just want a device that just works with software that "just works" I've not seen any people pickier than "the core" and "hacker/tweaker/gamers".....like the people that insist on keeping a 2008 MacPro running and insisting on making it run the latest OS. I will guess that it's just their hobby and they enjoy it for the sake of doing it...bless their hearts.

Yep, hard pass. My 12 is already thick and heavy enough. Keeping my 12 and waiting for the 14. Unlike the new iPad mini 6 (which I ordered immediately) the 13 is the very definition of an incremental update. Should have been called the 12s.
True for the low end phones but the pro motion display in the Pros is huge.
People who say they don’t notice the difference should get their eyes checked.

Yes, that is true, the cameras on the back stick out more, but that is part of what enables it to take such great photo and videos. I didn't pay attention to whether the front camera is changed. The reality is all of these tech devices will never be everything to everybody. No matter what features they add, subtract, change, there will always be people that are happy and people that are not happy. I would just then it is best to get whatever model or brand make you the most happy. I am not going to be biased on brand or OS aside from some sarcastic jokes here and there. I think that all of the models from all of the brands are amazing when you look at these devices from.....let's say a decade of two ago.

On this we can agree. And hey, I just like to ruffle feathers a little bit from time to time. It's all in good fun and no ill will is intended ☺️

Same here, that wha I meant by a little sarcastic joking. I am learning when to shut up and stay out of the fray....the touchy subjects of Apple vs Epic and the EU warranty thing. 😊
