Do you resolved the problem? I have the same issue, i have flickering when brightness is low on grey test screenYeah my 13PM does that sometimes and the bottom get slightly darker afterwards making it very uniform. Weird.
Do you resolved the problem? I have the same issue, i have flickering when brightness is low on grey test screenAnyone else experiencing intermitting screen flickering when viewing a dark gray test card at 0% brightness? My current 13 Pro Max seems to do this for a couple of seconds. Screen is otherwise as good as I think I can get, but a little worried about the flicker as I’ve not seen it on any of the other «rejects» I’ve had. My Series 5 does the same fwiw
That is called Pulse Width Modulation, or PWM. It is used at lower brightness settings as a way for displays to dim the screen and manage power use. It's annoying, but normal.Do you resolved the problem? I have the same issue, i have flickering when brightness is low on grey test screen

Yes, it's normal. It's very annoying, i saw it in messenger app (i have dark mode) and safari when i read black text in white background, screen is flickering. i see it even when display has 50-60% brightness. Is it normal?
Was the tab on the bottom of the box opened or was it sealed? Either way it’s 365 Days, so If you got it 3/13/22 your 1 year warranty will be up on 3/12/23. Which is correct. My launch day 13 Pro max (9/24/21) does show that standard 1 year warranty will expire on 9/23/22.Hi everybody. I am Vietnamese living in Korea. Sorry if my poor English bothers you. Nearly 2 weeks ago, I ordered the iPhone 13 pro max, on the largest Korean online sales site, Coupang. after 1 day of use everything makes me satisfied except the screen, the right side seems to show more red than the left. I went online looking for people with the same problem as me and found everyone on this site. i have read many cases here, have played screen lottery. and I can't accept the fact that I spend a lot of money and have to use a phone that makes me angry. so I asked them to exchange another one for me. The next day they came to collect the device and sent me another one after 6 working days. This one has a fairly uniform screen, I feel quite satisfied. The one with a lighter color is the one received after the return. but there are 2 things that make me think, is there anything hidden behind this incident.
* 6 days is quite a long time as all my exchanges happen in about 1 business day. they even brought me a new one 12 hours after I asked for the exchange, and came to collect the old one 1 day later.
* I received the device on the afternoon of March 13, opened the box and turned on the device, activated it on the afternoon of March 13. but the warranty expiration date shown in the settings of the device is March 12, 2023. ie at least 1 day more than usual. I wonder if it was because they opened the box and checked it before sending it to me?
When I received it it was still sealed. I'm not sure if my memory is correct but last time my warranty period was extended by 1 day. For example, if I activate on March 5, 2022, the warranty will expire on March 6, 2023.Was the tab on the bottom of the box opened or was it sealed? System will likely update it later to be 1 day prior to the activation date so if 3/5/22, it should be 3/4/23. Not sure why they give you a day, unless that’s how Korea rolls it??When I received it it was still sealed. In short, each pixel of OLED screen (iPhone 12, 13, X, Xs and all Pro models) provides its own illumination (which may causes the uniformity at low brightness) while in other screen such as LCD (iPhone Xr, 11 and all TouchID models), there is a backlight plate place under pixels (this one causes light-leak issue).I am new to hearing such issues but curious to know what OLED screen is as never used it on my iPhone! Can anyone help?![]()
Not sure if my expectations are low or yours high. 🤣I experience another issue on my 13 Pro, the very edge is a bit dimmer while the area below it is a little brighter (quite hard to see it from the picture taken by my iPad mini 5), sad that they only offer a repair (aka replace the screen) but not replace the whole device with a new one, so I decided to deal with it, at the high brightness or outside it is unnoticeable, but at low brightness or especially in a darkroom and dark mode is on, that thing is really annoying![]()
Even the issue seems negligible through picture, mine are quite high definitely 😅😅😅Not sure if my expectations are low or yours high. 🤣
What happens if you just disable Auto Brightness or True Tone, do you see the same thing?I have a weird question. I'll try to word it as easy to understand as possible.
I notice when I am looking at the uniformity on a 5% background in a dark room, that sometimes the effect is worse than others. Sometimes it doesn't seem to be there at all. And furthermore, sometimes I feel like I can see it actively appearing/disappearing. I will add that I've got both auto brightness and TrueTone on. With that said, my question is this: Is TrueTone so dynamic to the ambient lighting that it can tint itself different ways in different areas of the screen? Like, can the "red blotches" we think we're seeing in certain spots actually just be the way the TrueTone is adjusting to varying degrees of ambient lighting (or lack thereof)?
I am super OCD and hate knowing the issue is there, even though it doesn't affect my daily use at all. Part of me is just looking for a justification for why so many screens have this "problem", and to be able to say it's not a problem at all. 😅😂
Thoughts?
On the 3rd picture, it looks chipped to me. When did you get this? If it's still within 2 weeks return period, go return it and get a new one.View attachment 1977304
Hello I paid attention today. I noticed a hole in the 13 pro graphite color camera frame. When I enlarge it, it becomes obvious, as if it is not there, the exterior is also visible when looking carefully in a very strange light environment.
Please return it and get a new one. damn Apple QC department.View attachment 1977302View attachment 1977303View attachment 1977304View attachment 1977305

It's only been a few days, I love the color of damn graphite My 2nd order, both of them are problematic, the first graphite 13 pro was and the case was scratched, even though it was brand new out of the box and I bought it3. resimde bana yontulmuş gibi geldi. Bunu ne zaman aldın? Hala 2 hafta içinde iade süresi varsa, iade edip yenisini alın.
i think i'll do thatPlease return it and get a new one. damn Apple QC department.
In 6 months the iPhone 14 will be out. Same again?🤣So I took the chance and got the screen replaced again. I feel like this one is much better, albeit not perfect. The first two are with 3s and 10s night shots and the third one is with no night mode or flash. What do y’all think? #ratemyscreen 😂😂😂
