No need to pull down the mask. Use your passcode.

Security risk of people seeing your code in public. Complex passcodes are difficult and time consuming to type in especially if you're in a situation that requires frequent locking and unlocking of the iPhone (changing music, going back and forth between some task and the phone, directions, etc.)

Jesus , how could we lived in the iphone3g -iphone 5 era ?!? Did people saw often your password on those years?!
Just use your pass or learn faceid with your mask put on

"the notch will be small" - that's what they said last year for iPhone 12 (which obviously didnt turn out to be the case) and now the same old rumor again

Yes, they could see your password... hence the introduction of TouchID and other such technologies. You practically can't buy a smartphone anymore that doesn't have fingerprint unlock.

I prefer Touch ID for a myriad of other reasons outside of just the whole mask thing, I just think it was better for my usage and worked in more situations such as when wearing sunglasses or not looking at the screen dead on.

Just make the phone slightly curved in the back to be flush with the highest point of the notch and nobody will notice. Plus, it will fit smoothly in a pocket. Just a thought.

120Hz, TouchID on the home button and a smaller notch with the same design would sell me. I was absolutely tempted to get the 12 Pro this year, but the lack of 120Hz kept me from the Pro and I went with regular 12 - which is a great phone.

Touch ID and I’ll upgrade from my X.

Couldn’t give a monkeys about the notch. The way I use a phone these days, even my creaky old battery leaves me with 50% at end of day. You see less notch the less you use your phone ;-)

Please... Touch ID. That's all I care about. Of all the phones that needed to bring Touch ID back, it was the iPhone 12 series.

Definitely. The whole mask thing is really ruining faceID.

As someone who lives in a cold climate, FaceID is much more useful than TouchID that is useless with gloves. The widespread use of masks will hopefully soon be a thing of the past, winters not (until climate changes takes that away from us).

In 2023 or 2024 they will remove the notch and put the punch hole camera and call it REVOLUTIONARY!

The perfect phone for me would be iPhone mini with no notch, touch ID on the side.

Before Face ID, passcode was used. And now, it is some how unacceptable? I like Face ID and use it when possible. However, I don''t remove my mask in public just so I won't be inconvenienced with my phone.
