The notch doesn't bother me like it seems to with so many here. It is the state of tech at the moment for Apple. Doing away with the notch isn't going to free up a lot of useable screen real estate for me at this point in time. If it vanishes in a few years, that is fine as well.

Frankly, me neither. The notch actually became a trademark, like TV ads using that shape for their apps.

It has certainly has made it easier to distinguish newer phones from older ones. In that sense, I suppose you are right. It is the current unofficial trademark of the iPhone. Many may abhor it but, the saving grace is Apple has been consistent In its use and design. The same can't be said of others.

I hate how Apple makes a new design, then each year adds stuff to it to make it thicker and heavier....nullifying the improvements to the design.

That notch ... and that bump .... still?! After all these years and all these versions (and all that billions of dollars), Apple still can't solve these 2 design failures?
The camera bump is on every single phone right now , I wouldn't say it's a design failure... How would you change this "design failure"?

I have to upgrade and was on the fence between an 11 or 12. 13 does not look like it would be worth the months long wait. Always Apple though. lol

All I care about is getting touch ID back. I will not be getting a new iPhone until that reappears if ever.

Sounds pretty boring so far. I mean if 120hz stuff is the new new... I am not sure anyone really cares about that at all. All my friends use iphones and they would never buy a phone because of it or know what to make of it. I hope there are other bells and whistles cause a smaller notch is still a notch, and 120hz isn't going to get average users to care.

Apple is expected to continue to offer four iPhone options in 2021, with the iPhone 13 to be identical in design to the iPhone 12 with few changes, according to a new report today from Japanese site Mac Otakara that cites sources within the Chinese supply chain.

The height and width of the four iPhone models are expected to remain the same, but thickness could increase by approximately 0.26mm.

The rear camera unit is expected to increase in size by 0.9mm on all iPhone 13 models, and Apple will shift to a design that "covers the entire camera unit with sapphire glass." The lenses are expected to protrude less in a design that's more similar to the 2020 iPad Pro, which has a thick camera bump but less protrusion when it comes to the lens design.

Mac Otakara believes that the iPhone 13 Pro could feature sensor-shift optical image stabilization, a feature that Apple included in the iPhone 12 Pro Max.

As for the front of the iPhone 13, the site suggests that the TrueDepth camera "is getting narrower" because the receiver at the top of the display will move to the edge of the case. This suggests that the notch on the next-generation iPhone could be slightly thinner.

This is the second time that we've heard rumors of a thinner or shallower notch, so it's possible the 2021 iPhone models will have a notch that's the same length but not as tall.

Other iPhone 13 rumors have suggested we could see some models getting LTPO OLED displays with support for 120Hz refresh dates, and there will, of course, be a faster A15 chip. We have more on what to expect from the iPhone 13 in our dedicated roundup.

I really hope they make a 13 Pro mini!

Unlike you, my company phone obliges me to have a robust passcode composed for at least 8 alphanumeric characters. So typing the passcode while wearing a mask is quite a pain.
Unlike me? I haven't given you any information about me and my passcode. Typing a passcode with a mask that doesn't cover your eyes is a pain? How in the world does wearing a mask impede your ability to type with your finger(s)?

I use a very long passcode that is at least 21 alphanumeric characters. I input that passcode when wearing my mask. It isn't a pain at all. If you didn't have Face ID, you would be doing the same thing.

I am not buying what you are trying to sell.

Ok so iPhone 13 is using 40% of its battery life on 5G, it will use 80% of its battery in 5min with 120hz on, fix your **** first before implementing new features. This looks like I will skip iPhone 13 lineup also and keep my 11 Pro Max as long as lit lasts.
