oh come on! instead of adding battery % they just made the font bigger for the existing. damn it this was the one feature i was looking forward to.

I agree with the person you quoted on your comment. I can't remember the last time I reached for the battery % on my iPhone 11 Pro Max. Kind of pointless, since I very rarely, if ever, fall to the lower part of battery %. That being said, an option for the ones who like to see it would be great, so I understand your point.
not everyone have a pro max. these of us who has smaller battery tend to check for battery more often than you think.

Why not just give users the option to show the battery percentage OR the battery icon on notch phones. This would work for ALL iPhones not just the iPhone 13 and must be trivial to develop since they already have the assets.

I really want to give iOS a try but decisions like these which Apple is clearly aware of, but just choose to ignore for no good reason make me scratch my head.

Does anybody now if there is:
1. external Monitor support ("extended display") like in Samsung Dex
2. pencil aka pen support what is standard in the S21 Ultra 5G
in the iPhone 13 Pro Max ?

There will be a desktop class CPU inside the new iPhones and they did not implement such basic thinks we see in android phones.

A pencil makes little sense. Fists of all is where do you store it? A magnetized one would constantly fall off and require cases that leave a side open. Storing it in the phone either requires a very small pencil with few features, which would just yield complaints about it "not as good as the iPad's" or bloating the phone's form factor.

Having used pencils / styluses on a small screen they really aren't any more useful than a finger. The small screen really limits their usability, IMHO, since you can't really write across the screen like you can on an iPad, fr example. Plus, with the scroll wheel model they'd be reduced to just a scroll tool in many apps.

Having the option to hook up my phone to a monitor/keyboard/mouse for a poor-man's Mac Mini experience would be awesome!

You can already do that, except it's iOS on a bigger screen.

it's #percentgate!
I actually like the idea of showing when a VPN is active, you could change the colour of the cell/wifi guage to show that.

God help Apple there, I am sure they don't want different colours.

FWIW, my X scrolls WiFi-Calling when it's on - maybe they could scroll the battery icon and a % indicator?

Not that I care, life did not stop when I got my X - and I see few reasons to upgrade yet.

iPhone 13 (also the pro) is not a big upgrade just a better display, camera, battery but iOS 15 is nothing! oh sorry we have 1 new feature Focus mode
I hope iOS 16 will be the bigSur for iOS

I doubt there will ever be a Samsung Dex-like feature. Apple wants you to buy an iPad instead. It's not about what the device can do, it's about getting more money from customers.

Apple Pencil can be a maybe, as now they bring Promotion to the iPhone Pros. Maybe on future iPhones or when Apple finally do a foldable Ultra Max iPhone... :D
Well i think its more a revenue problem, how many will going to buy 13Max to draw? I bet than much less that those who bought 12 mini...

Apple is more the kind of less products but for more people

and using a 13 max to draw or write with the pen is a small niche

Distinguishing 88% and 89% battery is like distinguishing 43 dB and 44 dB signal strength. And guess what, everyone is fine with a few bars for signal strength.

The bitch was never the problem. It would be incredibly easy to allow a percentage inside, on top of, or instead of the existing battery icon. Botond sure the reasoning, be it aesthetic or whatever, but Apple doesn't seem to want a percentage displayed.

Honestly I have no use for the WIFI and mobile network strength in the top bar. Just remove them and show the signal strength in control center. Maybe merge them into one so I always see whether my data is going through WIFI, 5G, LTE or whatever.

😂 How lazy can one get. You swipe down to see the control center and there is the battery percentage. Takes like one second.

I don’t even care about seeing battery percentage until it goes into power save mode. Then I just swipe down and look in control center when ever I want. One second is all it takes …
That's pretty much what I do too. If the battery icon looks half empty, I will figure that it's around 50% charge left.

I do like the percentage on the battery. Sometimes it catches your eye when the percentage drops by a point every minute because an app goes haywire.

I have a 12 mini that I use all day long, streaming, nav and web browsing. I do not need to see the percentage, when I get the low power message I plug it in to a battery pack or put it on my magsafe charger. It's very manageable unless you're just incredibly irresponsible.

VPN status would be a better addition.

Just give us the option for battery percentage already and not in 7 years from now
