All of my stuff is in the cloud so I never need much storage on my device. Hopefully they keep the 128 and option.
Oh it’ll happen. I just don’t know when. Pigs get fed, hogs get killed.Sometimes I wonder if Apple isn't just stress testing their pricing…
"How much can we get away with?"
One day the proverbial last straw will break the camel's back. Mind you, knowing Apple's hardcore following, perhaps never.
🤷🏻♂️
Yeah, I agree. Based on rumors of the new cameras, and ProRes/ProRAW, I can't imagine another 128GB iPhone Pro. That's too small.Anything is possible with Apple. But I would not be surprised if Apple does not move away from 128GB.
Personally, I think Apple will have 128GB on the iPhone 14 lineup so people can actually spend their money on services Apple offers. (iCloud+plans). Regardless, It's a win/win situation for Apple.
I’m not defending apple, but maybe because the increase in storage doesn’t cost anywhere near the &100 they are talking about increasing? If they are raising prices because of supply and demand, why would they increase the base storage? Kind of defeats the purpose doesn't it?
Out of the picture on the 128GB model possibly, just like 128GB 13 Pro users didn't get to record ProRes in 4K.Remember people. This is coming from the same person who despite the iPhone 13 models starting at 128GB he said the iPhone 14 was going to start at 64GB ( yes he said that)
Analyst Jeff Pu: iPhone 14 Pro Models to Feature 48-Megapixel Camera and 8GB of RAM | MacTrast
Industry analyst Jeff Pu claims Apple will release four iPhone 14 models in September 2022.www.mactrast.com
my thoughts… if the 14 pro is going to support 8K video ( at possibly 60FPS) recording then it’s obvious 128GB is out of the picture. 🤔
Lol I don't think that's true for Apple. Look at some of the other responses on this thread. People are literally cheering Apple on to raise prices and make more profits. We are witnessing an unprecedented backlash against “capitalism” and “corporate greed”…
Apple think they are immune from that, but let’s see… I reckon they’re not.
IMO, if you’re still buying 16 GB, then you’re very dedicated to locally backing up your phone to a computer.128 is very generous of Apple. I was expecting 16 + forced iCloud subscription.
@compwiz1202 @MrMojo1 @macrumors3000Look, $1099 is NOT a big deal even with 128GB. If anyone is already on board with dropping $999 for a cellphone fully paid, it ain’t gonna matter when your only choice is “have new pro phone” or “not have new pro phone”. There’s no “get last year’s for $100 less”.
Also, when most people are going to finance it with a carrier, ain’t NOBODY care about the extra few bucks monthly. Heck, carriers basically hide the full retail price and only advertise the monthly cost.
Bring on the higher ASP, and get that stock up there!
Agreed. Wonder if Apple are going to be sensitive to the cost of living crisis that's affecting many of their customers. Keep the price the same, keep the memory spec the same. Get the volumes moving. And folk will likely spend or keep spending spare cash on your services, Apple.
You literally have the reason in your post. LolWell my 128GB 13 Mini does me fine… though I had to subscribe to Apple's 2TB iCloud of which I use a massive 250GB. 🙄
I have no idea why they can't offer a plan in between the 200GB and the 2TB.
256GB? What is this madness? What are you a bunch of data hoarders? You will take your 128GB and be happy that Apple gives you that much.
