I'll never not use a case. Both to protect the phone and to aid in gripping it securely. This means every years' new colors are nothing more than a marketing campaign I can look at. Kind of a bummer.
There are plenty of transparent cases like the Spigen Liquid Crystal case which offers protection and grip, while fully showcasing the color of the phone.

If that purple is a little more "midnight" than the dummy, I'm all in. My parents had this Ford truck that was a "deep wedgewood blue" that looked like a deep midnight purple in certain angles, but dark blue otherwise. I would hope this looks black/graphite with the purple showing at a slight angle.

The Purple looks polarizing, the Blue I could maybe work with, since its similar to Pacific Blue. But Graphite remains the finish you can never go wrong with. Then again, these are dummies, I am sure once Apple presents the actual product they will look superbly exquisite. And we all know Purple is gonna end up being the it color this year to show that you have the new iPhone. Very impressive strategy from Apple creating these one off finishes every year.
I’m kind of hoping for that blue. It reminds me of the Pacific blue, which I really really like.

Not a fan of those purple and blue colours. Especially around the camera module. The blue looks a lot like pacific blue

That said, if they shift in the light it may be nicer but those camera modules just look cheap to me

Do you know of any that are clear, offer protection and grip, AND have MagSafe? I had the clear one from Apple when I first got my 12 pro, but that thing was way too slippery. Only used it for about a month before I got a leather case (which now covers up the gorgeous pacific blue).

I don’t know how I feel about that purple. I was hoping for a lighter purple. I will wait until Apple unveils to decide. I really wanted to trade in my Sierra Blue iPhone for that Alpine Green. I may revert to black or blue again for the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Sticking with Black. Can't go wrong with black. They'll all probably look better "in the flesh".

That purple is darker than I expected and it appears that in some lighting conditions, it may not even look purple. The blue (if there is a blue) looks like my pacific blue 12 Pro which I wouldn’t mind given the sierra blue looked a little too grayish in certain lighting conditions. I didn’t like that. Well, I guess we’ll have to wait until Sept. 7 to see how they really look like.

Purple and Blue look hideous. Currently on 13PM Sierra Blue. If these pics are true I might have to do a graphite iPhone for the first time ever.

These shades of blue and purple look terrible. They can do better than this.
I don’t think the blue is bad and I have a feeling that Apple got a good amount of feedback that people would prefer a darker blue than the sierra blue which in certain lighting conditions looks grayish. I know some like the SB color, but those people were probably in the minority. Maybe the shade of blue on the regular 13 is a little better, but PB is close enough for me. Actually, there will be two blue Pros this year, one that looks blue all of the time and another that looks dark blue some/most of the time but is called purple (if that is the shade of “purple”).

The Spigen Ultra Hybrid Mag. Have one on my 12.
