Not gonna lie the back of the iPhone is beginning to look stale and, dare I say it, old! Significant redesign needed next year.

Seems like the purple is polarizing for folks, half like half dislike. I think it’s cool, I’d prefer the other colors tho, probably the blue since I’ve never had a blue phone yet.

Semi off-topic, does anyone know what it means when article authors are “Macrumors bot”? Just curious. There sure are a lot of them.

I am as much of a Apple biatch as everyone here but that design is starting to look quite dated. The Galaxy Fold 4 or Flip 4 are so tempting, not gonna lie.

I feel the same way. I have bought a new iPhone every year and I don’t feel the same excitement and enthusiasm to upgrade anymore every September. The past few years it has felt like each new iPhone is just a slightly improved version of the last one. The iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro dummy phone all have the same design which in my opinion looks great but it is boring. I currently have an iPhone 13 Pro in Sierra Blue and I still really like the colour, the phone feels solid and it still looks great. It is a shame it looks like there will be no Sierra Blue iPhone 14 Pro. Every year I used to always buy the black iPhone but last year I went for Sierra Blue for change. I’m not in any rush to upgrade to the iPhone 14 Pro because getting rid of the notch and improving the cameras which are already great is not tempting me to upgrade.

Hopefully Apple will release an iPhone which has a brand new design like a foldable in the next few years to feel excited about. The Galaxy Fold 4 and Flip 4 do look innovative and tempting. I give kudos to Samsung for giving android users the option of buying a radically different phone design. The Samsung Galaxy phones I have had briefly in the past have always developed a fault and needed to go in for repair. The Galaxy Fold and Flip also lose a shocking amount of value compared to the iPhone 13 Pro.

I want to see a return of chamfered edges (5s) and more of the rounded concave body of the iPhone X/Xs/11 with the straight edge frame of the 12/13. And of course, flushed cameras.

I think that deep purple looks great. I wouldn't want purple if it was a pastel or light tint.

For the last several iPhones, I've bought the "limited" color and loved all of them. Graphite, silver and gold are so boring to me.

My absolute favorite was the Midnight Green 11 Pro Max. The best color of any iPhone ever, and I wish that was a staple in the Pro lineup. I would get it every time.

Absolutely! 💯 Midnight Green was the best. I regret upgrading so quickly to the blue 12 Pro Max mostly because I love that color so much. Bring back Midnight Green!

The Alpine Green looks great too, but wasn't an option for me since it was a mid cycle color. I still really like my Sierra Blue. TBH they haven't let me down with the limited colors, yet.

I also like the Alpine Green. Sierra Blue has grown on me, although after getting sick of the Pacific Blue I don’t think I’d do another blue color unless super dark. Sierra is pretty though!

Where is the raw titanium or black PVD coated titanium versions? I think we’ve hit peak iPhone, both in design and performance - I’m only going to upgrade to a 14 Pro or Pro Max because I’ll pass my 12 Pro Max down to my mother-in-law, as her (my former) 6s Plus won’t hold a charge. I don’t care about ProMotion (I have it on my M1 iPad Pro) or the power and efficiency updates the newer chips have, though I will likely go for a non Max version if battery life is similar to what I get today in my 12PM. None of the new colors are exciting to me, but I’m not sure Apple will ever make a bright orange version, which is my fav color. As I started this rant, I’d much prefer a raw titanium iPhone with matching back glass coloring.

Raw titanium sounds like a hot color! 🔥 Or actual plain stainless steel.

Color is basically meaningless. Hard to get excited about the iPhone 14. Other then a slightly better camera and slightly better battery it will function exactly the same as the 13s.

Purple for me. It will go along well with my car. :)

Really don't care what color it is. It's going to be covered in a case the minute I buy it anyway. I'm not going to run around with a $1K phone without a case regardless of how durable Apple says it is.
