I always get a clear case.I always find it surprising that there’s so much interest in color when most people will put cases on and never see the color again…
I love the Alpine Green and that’s part of why I don’t use a case
I wonder if they’ll come out with another new color in the spring like they did this year?
Totally. As an “ancient” single-camera on my phone user i still haven’t taken the plunge and hope i don’t have to… it’s so crazy to me. I appreciate being able to take quality pics as much as the next guy but how many cameras/lenses does that take?Colors are awesome, but damn that camera bump.
As a filmmaker and photographer, I can tell you— aside from personal skill and creativity, quality of the lenses is the single biggest differentiator between good photography and bad.Totally. Quality, sure, but what does that mean re: number? As a filmmaker and photographer, I can tell you— aside from personal skill and creativity, quality of the lenses is the single biggest differentiator between good photography and bad.
Let’s take it from an Event Photography point of view— good events photographers will typically carry two camera bodies so that they can have 2 lenses to choose from— a wider and telephoto or wide and tele zoom lenses. That way, there is no changing of lenses and you don’t miss moments. The laws of physics dictate that the faster the lens (I.e. the more light it lets in) the shallower depth of field (nicer bokeh) you have. The faster the lens, the more glass is required (I.e. heavier). If you want to take great photos at any location (traveling for instance), you usually need a wide, a semi-wide, and a tele lens. That way you can cover most of the possible scenarios. Since a smartphone camera doesn’t have the room for a high quality zoom lens (not until the periscope lens anyway, but let’s see what that’s like), you need these three lenses of relatively fast apertures to cover classic photography angles and for zoom capability (digital zooms are usually horrible quality). And I might add, that I believe two if not three lenses are required for Apple’s portrait mode, etc, but someone correct me if I’m wrong on that.Quality, sure, but what does that mean re: number?
If double, triple, or more lenses are needed then it just begs the question for me, why the needed quantity Instead of just quality…
as well as the question of why most good cameras like Nikon DSLR etc. have only one lens?
Thanks in advance for any explanation, just asking genuinely as a non filmmaker and from curiosity.
I always wonder why people put on cases, the iPhones can take a beating so it’s not needed for protection. It also makes the phone annoying to get in and out of the pocket.I always find it surprising that there’s so much interest in color when most people will put cases on and never see the color again…
