I received my new iphone 14 pro 2 days ago from Verizon.
My voice could be barely heard when on calls using Carplay with the iphone 14 pro.
This was never an issue with my old iphone 12 mini.
Switched to 16.0.3 last nite. Sound issue is improved but not resolved.
I spent time on the phone with Apple today and tried all the suggested fixes turning off wifi calling, cellular data.
Apple technician said this is a known issue and encouraged users to submit reports. He said a fix is in the future
but not immediate. I am considering returning phone and switching back to my iphone 12 until issue is fixed.

16.1 drops Monday. it works. you can install 16.1 now if you want to test.

I have the new pro max and Waze is off when connected to carplay. It lags by 100 feet or so, I've missed the occasional turn. I've been using other programs instead, but generally prefer Waze when it works. I guess eventually it will be addressed. I have no idea if its a phone issue, ios, waze, or carplay.

Actually 16.1 does NOT work. In fact with it I am having issues not only with Carplay but with the volume of the phone itself. Listeners tell me that they can't hear me when I call. It does seem to work fairly well when I call other iPhone users but anyone else then the volume is low at their end....

Probably because you didn’t install 16.1.1.

I have just purchased an iPhone 14pro and also a Renault Megane Electric which has bluetooth CarPlay. I have paired them and on most phone calls I cannot hear the other party on the call. All other sound levels for applications are fine it is just this one issue. Is there a fix or a setting that I can adjust on the phone or in the car? I have the volume set at maximum and I get a message which says that the sound is limited ?

Hi, folks. I had the same issue with a robotic sound quality with FaceTime and my iPhone 14 Pro. I read about is in this article https://discussions.apple.com/thread/253557196. Set the sound quality a bit lower and the problem is solved. Ik presume that the sound quality of the new iPhones are way better than Apple CarPlay can handle... No clue what can be done about this issue. It's a bit strange to unplug the usb cable again and again when some's calling...
