These changes coming to iPhone 14 only further prove how much the iPhone 13 was just an ‘S’ release. We are likely keep the iPhone 14 design for another 3 years before they make change to the chassis. Then again, what more can they really do.

I mean I think this feels like another S update with the rumours? I don’t get how these rumours are anymore substantial than what we got with the 13.

I don't know what to say about always on display. On the apple watch I have disabled it cause it's eating the battery faster. First time I tought the new watch have a problem cause it didn't last more than my old watch with the battery health at 75%

While the company is now in the feature’s final stages of development, it is reportedly still encountering bugs and is scrambling software engineers from different teams, including the Apple Watch, to finish the always-on display experience before launch.
LMAO, that's what happens when only few are willing to come back to the office.

I am surprised the AOD is that bright if that is how it is going to look. If those pictures are pretty accurate then I am cool with that just surprised especially with more complex subjects visible. Curious what the refresh rate on the screen will be

Where did the earpiece speaker go?
“We’ve removed the earpiece speaker. The reason to move on: COURAGE."

I think they just didn’t bother with it for the mock-up. Maybe they didn’t know where it would be located or decided it wasn’t important to be that detailed in the mock-up of a display/software feature.

I can’t wait for people to start complaining about this for no reason
Well, it looks like my Flip4's always on display. ;-)

I probably wont use the AOD on any phone. That's what I have my watch for.

I remember when the first iPhone was released how disappointed I was to learn the display turned off when not in use. I hated it but eventually got used to it.

Now I like it… as notifications come in at a dizzying rate, it’s nice to not have the distraction. That said, I’m really looking forward to giving this a try…

Now that AOD is finally on iPhone, I've begun wondering if the jailbreak community will come back to life. I for one would love to get those old Samsung notification leds simulated on my iPhone. That was one thing I loved about the old Galaxy phones.

The community hasn’t slowly dwindled because they can’t think up new ways to customize the phone, they’ve dwindled because Apple has (rightfully) made it very very very hard to do, and security and privacy is something people value way more in 2022 then they did in 2009.
A gel broken phone is a phone that’s not secure or private

AOD is one of the key features I've been waiting for, to switch back from Android. I have had this on my Pixels as a nightstand instead of an alarm clock (which I dumped-much more intrusive and clunky). It's dim, discrete and I really appreciate it. Glad it's coming to iPhones.

What can they do??? Have you seen the myriad of android phones who have innovated the heck out of their phones.
Apple is stocked with tried and true but it’s TIRED and MEH.
Apple hasn’t done an innovative iPhone stance the iPhone X. It’s been all MEH since then.
