No, but my point was that most people are less dependent on phone calls and I’m not sure that Apple would consider it a “must have” feature anymore. Your insults about Apple being stupid, petulant babies doesn’t improve your arguement.
Issue is it's still the only reliable part. I've had my parents say they didn't get a message for hours.

The insults are warranted after 15+ years. Look at the settings panels for Phone vs. Messages. They are essentially identical, except the section regarding alerts is simply missing from the Phone settings. The work is already done! There's no excuse for it, and the issue has been raised with Apple repeatedly. They are simply being petulant babies about it, just as they are about not putting a real Delete key on their laptops.

This has been complained about for ages: https://goldmanosi.blogspot.com/2012/06/will-apple-ever-fix-iphones-biggest.html

Yeah, I don't get the complaints.

If you don't like it, I am sure there will be an option to turn it off. Like on the Apple watch. I look forward to *finally* seeing this feature on iPhones.

Don't see why people whine about some of us who want the OPTION to use a feature like this. <shrug>
There’s no way to turn off or opt out of the iMessage editing and deletion function even when they’ve faced criticism from domestic abuse victim advocates, which is a valid and serious issue, so there’s precedence that Apple can easily turn a deaf ear to whatever they want.
