I heard it will be the nano textured glass like used in the displays, here is the leaked pricing scheme:

iPhone Glass

While both the standard glass and nano-texture glass options of the iPhone Pro are engineered for extremely low slipicity, it helps to consider your work environment when deciding which one is right for you.
Nano-texture glass is a great option if you’re in a workspace with long nails, or a cold shower. Typical matte displays have a coating added to their surface that scatters light. However, these coatings lower friction while producing unwanted haze and sparkle. Etched into the glass at the nanometer level, the nano-texture scatters light to further minimize glare — for outstanding image quality and grip even in challenging conditions. The nano-texture glass option comes with a polishing cloth that’s made with soft, nonabrasive material for safe cleaning.

Ugh... the monthly payment of these phones exceed the TOTAL PRICE of any given phone I purchased in the couple of decades. That's a threshold I knew we'd cross, but I still had to see it to believe it :(

Frosted glass with matte finish look so good on 11 Pro, but I'll believe it when I see it.

This is a good change. Why was the glass different in the first place?

Most consumers just count the number of lenses to determine if it's a Pro or not.

Having frosted glass / clear camera plateau and vice versa on the other just confused the lineup.

I hate the frosted glass on the pro series. It is so unbelievably slippery I wouldn't dare use it without a case. The glossy surface of the regular and the X/S is nice and grippy and dare I say looks even more premium imo, even with the fingerprints, and I felt comfortable using it without a case at least around the house and I really miss that.

The curved + frosted of the 11 pro made for the most impossible phone to hold apples ever done. The flat sides of the 12 series improved things, and the regular 12 is incredible to hold, but the pro frosted glass still holds it back.

I want the iPhone Pro (or Ultra?) to have an all-titanium frame and then have a ceramic circle where they can have the magsafe charger and any additional antennas. I want it to be rugged like the Apple Watch Ultra with a titanium lip around the display, stronger/thicker glass, and I want an action button that I can customize with system-wide actions and per-app actions and I want it to be haptic with three pressure levels to perform different actions along with double click and triple click actions. Since it won't need a case they could even make it a little thicker with longer battery life. Add a 2-8x periscope lens and an mLED display, a titanium lip around the camera lenses, and Apple Pencil support for when you need to just jot down some notes or make a little drawing like a Moleskine notepad and then add split screen multitasking in iOS and it's functionally perfect IMO.

That’s weird, I don’t know why Apple would want to make the two lines more similar especially since this isn’t even a technological advancement people would eventually expect to become the norm.
Maybe pro models will come with AIRCRAFT Aluminium back! 😮

A back button?!?! ME TOO!

Adding extra slippery material to the regular iPhone? Tim is surely rubbing his hands and cackling in glee at the thought of all the protective cases Apple will sell now. :p

A while back somebody posted a fake rendering where the back was like the cheese-grater front of a Mac Pro. It looked bad-a**.

I’m glad I won’t be buying the iPhone 15, because being even bigger (6.2”) and having a slippery frosted rear glass, that phone will basically be a soap bar waiting to crash on the floor.

Hopefully the iPhone 14 will lower its price and I will adapt to that 6.1” size.
The iPhone 14 is my last chance of having a modern iPhone.
