What a joke. AUP, had everything set up days ago, finally was able (via the website not the app, the app is atrocious) to order 256 blue with a delivery date oct. 4-9. This process gets worse and worse every year. It used to be an exciting time to order the new iPhone. That luster has come and gone. How disappointing.

Glad I am not the only one that had this happen. Now the question is, how do we fix it or will it age off? My second attempt already charged me but not the payment failed one
Probably have to cancel it once we have the chance. No idea why a “payment failed” processed for us with no other confirmation.
 
Got my confirmation number for the 15 (regular, black). I have to say, the color options this year are... umm...

Pre-orders are easy to cancel. Once the madness of people trying to place new orders settles down, you'll have a one-click cancel button in your Apple Store account.
Last year I cancelled my pre order of the 14 Pro Max, and it was easy, except Apple Card kept charging me. Said I had the phone. I cancelled and did not get the 14ProMax. Took them a few months to remove the charge.
 
Just pre-ordered from AT&T as an upgrade from my trusty but failing iPhone 7 plus I bought new in 2016.

My iPhone 7 has been getting slower and slower to the point it almost doesn't register touch. I kept telling myself to wait till it dies completely but I don't think I can wait any longer.

Do you think I will notice any difference? Oh, I got Blue Pro 256gb.

Took me over 20 minutes to get in, either on the website in Safari (Macbook), App, or website on iPhone. East Coast US.

App was first, but it kept erroring out when connecting to ATT.
Then I wanted to order through the website, but it wouldn't let me actually 'place my order'. I kept hitting the button but nothing would happen.
Finished the order through the website on the iPhone.

In all this rush, I forgot I actually wanted to use a GiftCard.

My configuration is still available for 9/22. How easy it is to cancel an existing order made with AppleCard payments and re-order?
 
With Apple announcing pre-order times every year, you have to wonder if there aren’t a bunch of ******s running DDOS attacks on the servers at that time just to screw with people.

haha omg, anything compared to trying to get a PS5 is a walk in the park, sadly! i feel you on that though...oof
Yeah the PS5 was crazy. Trying to get on any site that was having a drop that day was insane. Lot of times you either geo the site hanging and not loading, got as far as getting it in your cart and hanging, or time the page loaded it was out of stock in less than 5 mins
 
sadly by time my order placed, delivery is now Oct 4 - 9th. :confused:
Yeh mine did that too for the natural titanium, so I went with the other colour I was considering, white and back to 22 Sept. Think going to be a lot of natural titanium 15's!
 
Worst pre-order experience in years. Tons of errors. Had to re-start from scratch invalidating all my "get ready" work earlier in the week. Total **** show. Finally went through for delivery in October but soured by the experience so will likely cancel. Lots of friends just gave up in anger.

That was lame. Lost so much sleep and didn’t even get a launch day delivery of the Pro Max. Kept getting errors in the App Store and then had to get my laptop out. Didn’t realize you can only checkout with one phone in your bag at a time either. Also didn’t think to see if store pickup was available for earlier delivery. Oh well, my 12 pro will have to get me by until Oct 9th - 16th.
 
10 minutes of trying so far, can't get it to load the pre order I setup last night or start a new one. Wife is going to be salty lol
Finally had to punt and use the website to get in at 8:30, but got it placed for 9/22 still at 8:30
 
pro max black, 22nd sept delivery here. Ordered from mac instead the app.
The app appeared to takes o refresh as available! Well done you being so quick. I ended up using a browser too but late and colour I wanted had slipped shipping date

Didn’t go live for me until 5:25am PDT. By that time, delivery was out to mid October. Most of the stores near home in Los Angeles said not available for pickup. Chose downtown Los Angeles near work. I guess I shouldn’t complain but this was the most glitchy pre-order I’ve ever experienced. At least I’m able to get one on 9/22 to satisfy my impulsive gadget self.
 
Ufff, not a pleasant pre-order experience this year! I had several issues with the Apple Store app and getting a weird error message popup. Tried Apple.com on my laptop and continued to see the "Almost there" thing. Tried AT&T and thought I was all good until the payment section failed to load multiple times. I was finally able to sneak in on Apple.com by clicking on the shopping bag icon. Thankfully I got my order placed for the iPhone 15 Pro Max - Natural Titanium - 512GB to be delivered on 9/22!

Sorry but what is an AUP?
 
Yeah the PS5 was crazy. Trying to get on any site that was having a drop that day was insane. Lot of times you either geo the site hanging and not loading, got as far as getting it in your cart and hanging, or time the page loaded it was out of stock in less than 5 mins

I was at the right place/right time to snag a PS5 preorder through Walmart.com. But I feel for anyone that had to wait.
