Who are these people ordering the 1TB phone? I thought I would be one of the few.
Me, when I went down to 512GB it killed me not to have access to a lot of my music because I was in the countryside, or a NYC dead spot, or on a plane, or in a tunnel, or any day when cell coverage just decided to go away.

How does one cancel an order when it says it's not linked to your Apple ID account? I have two orders in, the first to the wrong CC, the 2nd to my Apple Card. Do I have to wait until the order system catches up later today?

Apple Pay and Apple Card are hard to distinguish. One has a black apple, the order a colored apple. It easy to get confused that you are using your Apple Card when in fact you are simply using Apple Pay to one of your many credit cards... ugh, now I have to cancel my 1st incorrect order and the system won't let me because it says the order isn't associated with my AppleID

Titanium White and Black are standard issue, although the black does look stealthy. Titanium Blue looks like a dull navy - not as good as Pacific or Sierra Blue. The Natural Titanium is the best Pro colour option this year imo. It's the flagship colour of the flagship iPhone and the natural colour of the space grade material used in the design.

Don't worry, you might be getting it on release. There are so many hobos whose credit card gets declined (when they want to ship it). I got that last year, from 6 weeks apart it jumped to release day.
Damn don't tell me that I changed it for white! 😂 all good if I see natural become available I'll change. I made the mistake of selling current phone for pick-up on 22nd... 🫠

I've never had a white and this looks an interesting shade/depth to it

That was rough. Finally got my order in it only took an hour and 15 minutes and that was with the upgrade program. The app just dumped all my “get ready early” info and I had to do it all again at the end. Ended with an Oct. 9-16 delivery date which sucks.

PSA: Also, be aware that if you want your iPhone to come pre-activated (at least on Verizon) there is an extra $35 fee. I noticed was able to remove it.

Unfortunately if you are on T-Mobile, you can’t remove the $35 activation fee. Phone has to be shipped pre-activated for security reason.

For me, was able to order thru T-Mobile’s site. And they actually had a virtual Queue that ACTUALLY WORKED!!!!!!! No crash whatsoever during entire preorder process. No hiccups. Was in and out in about 15 mins upgrading both phones on our line.

Oh, how can you find the fee? I ordered from Apple with financing and activation with my T-Mobile account. The email had this line:

"One-Time T-Mobile Upgrade Charge:
$0.00"

Unlike last year and previous years, today was a bit of a mess. Not the end of the world of course, but I fail to understand how a person sitting next to me (using the same wifi connection, same iPhone models, specs) completes the order within minutes, while it took me over 30 to get mine. We are both on T-Mobile, did the whole pre-order, payment charged on the 12th for both from the same card. I tried to use her iPhone, iPad, desktop, laptop, you name it ... nothing worked.

re: GeoStructural's PSA, "Also, be aware that if you want your iPhone to come pre-activated (at least on Verizon) there is an extra $35 fee. I noticed was able to remove it.":

I also got a +$35 "activation fee" on my Apple Store purchase of an ATT-based phone. I just pray they don't start charging some "deactivation fee" down the road at some point for outgoing phones. I wouldn't put it past the carriers, that's for sure.

Haven’t had time to read the previous posts.

Mine is stuck on a spinning wheel after I was trying to check out - after I entered credit card info.

Is that what everyone else is experiencing?

Yeah that was a cluster this morning. Had two phone saved for Pre-Order but could only order one at a time. Ordered my wife's phone first (I'm no dummy!) and then 20 minutes to keep refreshing after constant errors and my Pro-Max was pushed to first week of October. Not happy and shouldn't be a reason that both phones couldn't have checked out at the same time.

I was at the right place/right time to snag a PS5 preorder through Walmart.com. But I feel for anyone that had to wait.
The PS5 preorder was a mess because Walmart actually dropped theirs early and then other stores did so if you wasn't around paying attention you were out of luck...
I just lucked up that 1st year in Dec. I had given up but saw Walmart.com was doing a drop that day, said oh well why not. My cart had showed one in it from previous attempts, hit buy and it went through, shocked the crap out of me. Felt like I had won the lottery that day LOL
