Just pre-ordered from AT&T as an upgrade from my trusty but failing iPhone 7 plus I bought new in 2016.

My iPhone 7 has been getting slower and slower to the point it almost doesn't register touch. I kept telling myself to wait till it dies completely but I don't think I can wait any longer.

Do you think I will notice any difference? Oh, I got Blue Pro 256gb.
no, will be the same as what you are used to

Any chances a delivery of Oct 4-9 could be moved up to 9/22? Really annoyed having to figure out what day I’ll need to be around to sign for this delivery.

this was the worst online preorder experience i’ve ever had. considering going to standing in a line like we used to way back when.

Was just now able to snag a pro max 256 blue, probably the last model in this major metropolitan area available for in-store pickup next week.

weird thing was that I tried to pay with Apple Pay, but at the end it said something along the lines of "this website does not allow purchases with cards stored in your wallet with Apple Pay... add another card to your wallet to use Apple Pay."

I had to jack in the same card number into the site, but it processed fine. Weird.

The Pro Max of any size were all shipping in 3 weeks in China. The normal pros were shipping in 6 days.

I was at the right place/right time to snag a PS5 preorder through Walmart.com. But I feel for anyone that had to wait.
I had a really good ps5 order experience - loved going into store and there was a big fuss. Understand it was annoying for a lot of people though. I think pre ordering so far out with a deposit helps

iPhone Upgrade Program craps the bed once again this year. I spent half hour trying to proceed with my IUP reservation that I started BEFORE today. I got tired of it. I ordered from my carrier instead with an $800 trade in.

Apple really blew it with IUP. They can never have the service work smoothly on launch morning, and it always seems more difficult and bigger hassle for IUP users rather than normal customers. So what’s the point of being an IUP member then? Be forced to pay for AppleCare+ and get horrible service on launch day that inevitably delays your delivery date. Then when next year rolls around you have to pay an extra month in order to get your upgrade on launch day, since the delays and trouble checking out this year delayed your delivery for 3 weeks.

Tired of it. Apples most premium and loyal customers choosing to upgrade yearly directly with Apple get the absolute worst deal out of all iPhone customers.
I used IUP to order my new 15 Pro without any problems. Site was up for me at 8:05, Order completed (with confirmation) by 8:07. Sorry your experience didn't go smoothly.

Wasn't letting me do it through the website/app, but googled the direct iUP link and was able to complete it there 20 minutes after the site went "live".

I’m going to guess a lot of the issues folks experienced were due to caching and DNS not catching up (or something like that). Like I said earlier, I switched from WiFi to 5G cellular at 4 minutes after and got through on IUP no problem. Good luck to everyone on getting their iPhones the first week! Always a fun time, these mornings.

Anyone in Canada get a Natural before Oct 4-6? Got my wife’s PM512 white for Sept. 25th, but I’ll have to wait. Looks like I can pickup a blue Vancouver Pacific Center on the 22nd. I think I’m going to wait for the natural though.

I see a few had issues. Option for trade in wouldn't work. This error message.
Site froze...etc etc.

I understand heavy site traffic all at once creates havoc....but in 2023, after years & YEARS of pre-orders, you'd think things would improve?

Who are these people ordering the 1TB phone? I thought I would be one of the few.

Yep I screwed up, had it in bag, was looking at case options then checkout was 2-6 Oct 😕
Don't worry, you might be getting it on release. There are so many hobos whose credit card gets declined (when they want to ship it). I got that last year, from 6 weeks apart it jumped to release day.
