Rough pre-order fail for me.

I couldn’t get in for the first 20 minutes and then when I got in, my pre-pre order setup wouldn’t load.

I was trying to pay in full for a Pro Max with no carrier and do an in store pickup. (I am traveling and don’t want to ship it home).

It showed me availability to pick it up on launch day but every time I submitted everything, it would give me an error that my “pickup option was no longer available” or that my “order is only eligible for shipping”. I tried a few stores and all of the different “check-in times” available and nothing worked.

I guess I’ll just wait and see if anything becomes available at the store to reserve for pickup in the future…

This. Did the whole preorder prep thing, and tried using the site and the app to see which one was better. Got in via the app maybe 3 minutes after stuff supposedly went live. Those who took quite a bit longer are probably the ones whose shipping estimates have slipped.
or you live in the US of A.

Got it. 15PM. It was like 830am before I got in. Then I picked the wrong address because somehow my old address keeps popping up even though I delete it in Settings > Wallet and Apple Pay. Had to wait a few hours before I was able to edit the shipping address, but it finally let me. Says "Arrives Oct 9-16th." Bummer.
so by editing the address, are you getting more of a delay than the dates you got when you first ordered?

I was thinking of changing my home address to a Penguin pick-up, but don't want to further delay delivery.

Enjoy the complimentary data breaches that go with the service. 😆

If you think your data has never been breached I’ve got a bridge in New York to sell you. From Equafax to Target to a credit unions I do or have done business with up to and including the public university I attended, I can assure you if you’re information is out there with companies or large institutions in this day and age it’s been breached and probably on more than one occasion. That’s why I keep certain credit cards. I get free credit scores updated in a timely fashion from multiple reporting agencies and I’m notified if new accounts are opened in my name. Having a few accounts that include that as a free perk is invaluable.

If you are not taking measures like that it’s only a matter of time before you get hit by somebody. Be it somebody who gets a credit or debit card nobody to somebody who tries to open a new account in your name. It’s a matter of when, not if, and sooner or later it’ll happen to other cell provers as well.

This year was SUPER STRESSFUL 😭 took over half an hour to get into the Apple Store app! Originally wanted 128gb natural titanium, but had to get 256gb as 128gb was sold out. I’ve also gotta travel slightly further than my main city Apple Store 😮‍💨

My phone order is already being "prepared for shipment" and my Apple Card was charged, meanwhile, the Apple Watch Ultra 2 I ordered back on Tuesday still shows "Your order will be available soon."

Check your local Apple stores on launch day. I usually find stock on launch day.

Pre-ordered through EE in the UK… every annual upgrade is worse than the year before.

It took 3 hours on the phone (I’m not exaggerating) and several failed attempts on the EE website.

The pleasant surprise? The iPhone 15 Pro Max costs me exactly the same as thr iPhone 14 Pro Max 🤷🏻

But yes, I don’t know why these big companies can’t sort out their websites… I mean it’s 2023!

For the first time this year EE don’t indicate the delivery date, but the guy on the phone told me it should be launch day. Let’s see!

I have a blue MacBook Air. Big mistake. Fingerprints everywhere, staining, hard to clean. I hop the blue phone is a different type of finish. :)
I have gone black last several years felt like a bit of a change and ordered the blue titanium.

looks like only the Pros this year are being heavily pre ordered. 15/15 plus all configs available for me to local pickup. Already a 2 month delay for Pro Max 🥲

Luckily it ended up being the same quote; dates didn't change.

I got in as soon as it came up, but it timed out at checkout, then the site crashed for the next 20-25 minutes. Fortunately, when I was finally able to check out, delivery was still 9/22.

40 minutes to complete a pre-order despite starting at exactly the release time. Dozens of time outs, etc. How can the largest company in the world not even run an e-commerce site properly? As the years go on, it only gets worse. While a 2-4 week wait isn’t that horrible, since I do the upgrade program it means I can’t upgrade right away next year without additional expense.
