Probably about 10% of users put the phone in a case, if that
I'm not sure where you are getting that number from. I don't know a single person in my group of family, friends, and coworkers that doesn't have a case on their phones. Heck, I even know two different people that have one of those wallet style cases. Whether it is for resell value, image perception, longevity, hand-me-down to family members, or OCD, I think most people want to keep their iPhone protected as much as possible.

I certainly never will

10% put their phone in a case?! Quit trolling.. 80-90% of people put their phone in a case (numbers are a bit lower on here) and It's well documented. I never see iPhone without a case, ever.

I would break my phone weekly if I didn't have a case. They aren't durable enough for hiking and backpacking, climbing, tossing into a backpack, dropping on tile at work, wet hands in the ER, running to an elevator in an emergency and it slips out my hands, on and on and on...

Not everyone sits at a computer 16 hours a day.

I think I have finally figured it out.

Apple has used up the world's supply of colors over the past 25 years and now we have to use colors as sparingly as possible.... or they are cheap as heck these days.

Either way... they'll market it as "Environmentally Friendly" 🤣

Not really, never see them very often irl

I prefer to live life in the fast lane and certainly wouldn’t countenance a case. I guess most people would agree judging by how rare cases are
Try the Google machine - most surveys show anywhere between 70-80% of iPhone owners use a protective case.

14S at most. Not 15…
Something jealous 14 owners would say. They knew usb-c, titanium frame, and the 15PM periscope lens were going to come out soon and still bought the 14 for some reason. They should’ve just bought the 13 with better battery and waited for the 15.

XR had bright colours similar to the 5C albeit with black as an option, and that was the best selling phone of its generation
However, the iPhone XR was only limited in certain areas not that relevant like the screen resolution. The main camera, the processor and the Face ID where identical to the Xs / Xs max. And the material was premium. Totally different than iPhone 5c.

Anyone missing the Jet Black iPhone + iPhone 7 Plus in Product Red? iPhone colors are at their peak! Good times! 🙃

Yeah, those were pretty great looking.

This year's pastel palette is both interesting and surprising. As anyone working in color and/or pushing the envelope can attest, color trendsetting is a tricky business. Apple has long been a color trendsetter, unlike many we've seen. Once they drop a new palette, it's not long before everything from toasters to hair dryers start leveraging Apple's color palette. I am not a fan of pastels (and take zero issue with any pastel fans out there) - I find them non-committal/wishy-washier than I prefer. While I'm nowhere near a materials expert, I wonder if Titanium presents color limitations/challenges, and if so, does that explain the softer presentation this cycle? As some have said, I too think the actual devices - not mockups - will likely present better. We shall see. Looking forward to the 12th.

I’d say the non-pro colors are like Easter eggs but even Easter eggs have more saturation. These seem strange colors for an Autumn release. Fingers crossed that the leaks are wrong and that the real ones have more oomph.

I’m getting iPhone 6s vibes and I don’t mind.

iPhones without cases is supposed to be seen as a "status symbol" now. lmao

Is it a missed golden opportunity for Apple not releasing the iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max in color Red?

Honestly, I think the reason Apple has never done a red-wine type of color for the Pro lineup is because any sort of red color would probably contractually require them to market it as (product) RED and then they would have to donate a percentage of the sales for each one sold. Isn't it like 10% or something like that? My guess is they don't want to be making $100-$150 donations for each Pro iPhone sold.

If true, that's really disappointing. I personally don't like the Product Red color, but the wine dark red color on this page that TheYayAreaLiving shared is EXACTLY the color iPhone I want most.

Ain't that the truth. I just dropped mine pulling it out of the fanny pack that mostly serves as dog water/poop bags/treats/leash storage on a hike yesterday. Case saved the phone, screen protector shattered instead. I even thought I was being careful? 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂

Good point but what about the Pink iMac? That's not considered as Product Red yet the back of the iMac is bright Red.

I think it's the iPhone's Project Management team that is lacking when it comes to the iPhone colors. Sometimes I wish Apple had the iMac Project Team take on the iPhone colors. We would have had a totally different story today.
