I’m a few days in with my black FW case for my shiny new 15 Pro. I’ve previously always gone with an Apple leather case.

Expectations were low after all the negative reviews, but hey John Lewis in UK have them on offer, I need a case for the phone, am not keen on the silicon ones and have never found a 3rd party case that was good enough quality.

Plunge taken and I’m… entirely happy! Yes I can see how you could scratch it by running a finger nail against the back, but I’m not going to do that on purpose, and I don’t have any nails anyway (long term habitual biter). Plus I have a MagSafe wallet that covers most of the back.

Fit and finish is as good as any other Apple case I’ve had. I suspect the sides and camera moulding are the same as the leather ones. Alignment of the USB C slot is perfect.

So all good. Then on the train home last night I carelessly opened a can of lager. Disaster - it overflowed onto the table and soaked the lower back of the case. I braced for the inevitable permanent stain. But guess what, I dried it off with a damp napkin and come the morning it’s pristine again. NO stain at all!

I also really like the feel of the back with the MagSafe wallet removed. Try stroking it like a pet. It’s a nice feeling, a bit like the wall in Get Him To The Greek.

No complaints here. Those of you with nails - your mileage may vary 😀

I generally am liking my Pacific Blue FineWoven case for the 15 PM, but does anyone else have an issue with it being kind of loose around the phone? This thing creaks and flexes around the phone quite a bit, or at least a lot more than my 11 PM Apple leather case did.

I bought the green FineWoven case last week. And submitted an exchange because of the misaliged charging port hole. Wait for another week for the replacement. Still shifted charging port hole.
Still want to try out the FineWoven case but the misalign thing just shdn’t exist in this price. :(

Go for an exchange if you have any concern with it.
You paid for that service.

Yes. I feel as if it would pop off if dropped. Switched to a Mous Limitless which IMO is much better in every way.

For sure what I would do; my intent in posting the question was to see if it's a common issue to most FineWoven cases (in which case an exchange would do little to correct the problem) or if there's something unusual about mine.

Mine is a tad loose around the left corner, but I'm not overly concerned about it.

After two weeks in Greece, beaches, sun tan lotions, a lot of dining out and handling the phone as I normally would, I do have some darkening on the back along the edges. It doesn’t seem to clean (like the lotion did with a wet wipe), and I also have some darkening on and above the Apple logo where I constantly rub my index finger while using the phone. I’m fine with it as it looks like leather would patina. I don’t mind it getting darker but I’ll most definitely shove it in the laundry after a while. FW is lovely and grippy for me coz my hands aren’t too dry.
Now I want to get a black one again as I’m curious if that will turn into a dark deep black (compared to the dark grey it actually is), and I also quite like the green and mulberry colours 😩

I really like how the case is wearing. It actually does seem to develop a natural patina gradually over time, similar to how leather breaks in. Nice.

Has anyone’s fine woven case stained their magsafe charger? I see some people online complaining that it did.

Mine did too. It happened few days after I got the case. I did a replacement with Apple, all good on the 1st few days and the problem resurfaced.

Think of getting a refund now.

Mine si little loose too around the edges. And other thing is that after almost 3 weeks with finewoven case I dropped my phone more than I did with any other case past years. Generally I am careful with my phones, but this case makes it more slippery for me. Thinking about selling it and buy some other, probably leather from 3rd party

For the ppl that wanna clean their case I watched several videos of people cleaning it using a tooth brush and dish soup and it turned out really well the case looked brand new after.

Yeah no compatible case has the perfect fit of Apple cases, I don't even bother trying them now

I would agree with that in previous years but the finewoven I had was a really poor fit. Almost like the manufacturers didn’t know the final design!

Heh, a lot of FW cases are actually warped/deformed to the point of being considered defective. Worth an exchange in extreme cases

Any UK based members interested in a mint condition, black finewoven case for £32.50, shipped?

I have two - one’s mine, one’s a work colleagues. Both in mint condition, in original packaging and been lightly used for one week. Happy to PM pics if interested??
I am

Well it took trying on 8 different FW cases to find one that wasn’t loose/didn't creak when handled at the edges or didn’t have a misaligned USB cutout. Only one of those didn’t do either of those AND didn’t have a loose sleep/wake button, so that ended up being the exchange winner. I want to like this case but man is the QC all over the place.
