Hopefully I’ll have my new 17PM in 16 more days and can get rid of the horrible battery in this 15PM.

I already sold my 15 PM for the new 17 PM.
Hope for a great battery !
How do you deal with the migration? You have another iPhone as a bridge in between?

I have so many banking apps and user authorisation apps logged in on my 15pm, it would be nuts to not migrate it in one go, with both old and new phones side by side.

Phone: 15 pro.
capacity: 89%
Cycles: 794

First use: September 2023
Produced: July 2023

I usually fast charge till 80-90%. I did not limit it on the phone, so sometimes I forget and it charges till 100%,but rarely.

Wow. You have more charging cycles than me and still have a better battery than me.

Got my free Battery end of august. Was on 74% @1140 cycles. Now that old 15PM runs perfectly again. I think many people here with a 15 Pro (Max) should really think about getting a new battery than an IPhone 17 Pro (Max). Or wait at least till its released to see what new stuff it can do.

Originally charged to 80%, now charging to 100%, and have had “optimised charging” enabled since day 1

You have to do that anyway, independent of which iPhone you’re migrating from. It’s a pain in the ar$e with all those passwords. For most apps and settings the transfer works fine, but for those apps requiring special authentication you’ll have to go through the steps regardless.

With 435 cycles on my 15 Pro Max, battery health is still at 84%. Has been staying at 84% for the last three months.

Yeah I know the pain. That's why I envy people who still can pull off selling the old phone while waiting for a new phone. My bank even issued a pre-emptive warning that you will need both phones in front of you to transfer, anticipating new phone users.

Apple's trade-in price dropped just today, clearly to take advantage of our scenarios.

I understand. I always keep the old phone before purchasing a new one for that very purpose of easily transferring my data. The bank thing can be tricky regardless though, but your bank seems to be exaggerating. Normally you should just need your cards with their QR-codes and any other codes and passwords they’ve issued you. But yeah, last time I did a transfer, directly from phone to phone, it was still a hassle with one of my banks. Actually it’s part of the reason as to why I don’t change phones that often.
