I have a tip for you:

Stop using piece of trash screen protectors. They feel like ****, they look like ****, and they scratch 10 times easier than the glass on your insanely expensive device utilizing some of the best engineered glass on the planet.
That tip doesn’t work. I agree with him. These rounded edges have made it near impossible for me to keep screen protectors working. I’ve paid upwards of $40+ for quality glass with black edges that look very sharp. But, I’m on # 4 or 5 now for the iPhone 11 Pro and every one of them has bubbled at the top the the point there is a bubble across the entire top of my screen. That lip just provides an angle of pressure on the protector that causes this issue I’ve never had before.

So, give us another tip.

The next-generation iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will feature even thinner bezels around the display, similar to the Apple Watch Series 7 and newer, according to an anonymous leaker known as "ShrimpApplePro" on Twitter.

In a tweet this week, ShrimpApplePro said additional sources now agree that iPhone 15 Pro models will have thinner bezels following the initial rumor last month. The leaker also expects the bezels to be curved on all iPhone 15 models, but the other sources were not able to corroborate that potential design aspect at this time.

ShrimpApplePro accurately leaked the hardware design of the Dynamic Island on iPhone 14 Pro models, giving them an established track record, but the thinner bezels rumor has yet to be corroborated by other reputable sources.

The leaker also previously claimed that at least one iPhone 15 model will feature a titanium frame and curved rear edges, which could mirror the curved bezels.

Other features rumored for iPhone 15 Pro models only include Apple's next-generation A17 Bionic chip, a faster USB-C port, Wi-Fi 6E, an increased 8GB of RAM, and solid-state power and volume buttons that provide haptic feedback when pressed. Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 15 series in September as usual.

All I know is I want a better camera set up. My 14 Pro max camera gets absolutely demolished by my wives $650 less Samsung phone.
My phone might be faster *
But the Apple gimmick is worn thin with me. After owning 8 iPhones I’m hard pressed to invest top top dollar on another when I can’t even take descent pictures. Trying to get a zoom on anything is fruitless. Trying to take a picture of anything close to me is fruitless.
Really about to jump ship. Tim Cook’s squeezing everything that made apple unique right down the toilet.

I really don’t think the bezels need to be thinner than they are on the 14 Pro Max - the increase in screen area is going to be marginal and not even particularly functional. I already feel like the palm rejection is not particularly good and I get errant screen presses sometimes just from normally holding the phone during use, more than I ever have on any other iPhone

It’s a minor and purely aesthetic change but I have to say I’ve been wondering why the bezels are so thick on the 13 Pro /14 Pro line for a while now.

Hahahahah guy gets on a site called ‘MacRumors’ proceeds to read a rumor and then go so far as to comment on it.

Meh, my "best engineered glass on the planet" still gets tons and tons of microscratches on it with very easy, babied daily use. At least with a screen protector I can just replace it. Personally I don't bother with a screen protector because 1) I have insurance, 2) almost definitely will turn it in after a year for a new one, and 3) don't particularly care much about a pristine screen. But I can still see a reason to use a screen protector, especially if you are planning on selling it.

Although if there is something I can't stand it's curved screens. I really LOVE the feel of my AW Ultra's non-curved screen. I'm also having a hard time with smaller bezels when that stupid "island" crap is still right there in your face.

Yea the dynamic island is like buying a Bentley but the front windshield 1/3rd is solid black with the infotainment screaming in your face.
I absolutely despise watching videos on the 14PM.
I didn’t pay $1200 to have a gaping black hole in my face. When a pop down screen could LITERALLY do the same thing.

To me it’s simple, the sides could just be like a continuation of the wallpaper and NOT be touch sensitive, or only work in certain apps for specific things. That way it wouldn’t matter.

Embrace the future my friend.

Edit: iPhone autocorrect strikes again! Fixed now..
You know, I’m actually onboard with this idea.

When you say pop down screen, you mean like a notification?

I guess they could have gone that route but I think Face ID has them backed into a design corner at the moment… at least that’s the impression that I get.

iPhone 12 design team: Tim, we can make a near borderless bezel.

Tim: Great, but let’s reduce the bezel size over 4 years and charge for that feature.

I don't mind if it gets edge-to-edge so long as it doesn't have a curved edge to the glass. I always put a glass screen protector on my iPhone and having curved glass just created issues with that. But I can also live without an edge-to-edge design in general.

Am I only one that doesn't see the issue...? They made curved screen protectors that blended in well, never had an issue with them...

They did and they worked for the most part. The issue is that most consumers weren't aware that they needed to look specifically for those "3D "curved protectors. I had many family and friends bring up how they didn't like that their screen protectors didn't fully cover the screen only for me to show them how mine did and explain that they needed to buy one of the "3D" curved protectors with the rubber-like sides to them. The other issue is that the 3D screen protectors didn't always play nice with cases. It wasn't unheard of for them to separate at the corners if the case and 3D curved protecters caused too tight of a fit or were off center even just a tiny bit. Shouldn't be that complicated for the consumer and it is a non-issue with the flat screens of the 12, 13, and 14 models.

Fair dos, I think some were labeled as 2.5D as well which makes it confusing, I may have been lucky as they never interfered with my cases and I did use some cheap ones too, but the naming wasn’t very clear… unless you know tech stuff well the average Joe just looks for “screen shield for iPhone”
