They are also a company worth 3 TRILLION dollars. I'm guessing you have a bit less than that. If anyone can afford to "buy" some extra bandwidth for a day, week, etc. then it would be Apple. A company with this much experience (10+ years) of selling iPhones should ensure their loyal customer base have a seamless experience while buying online. It is inexcusable not to.
Ok, and I agree, but is buying network traffic once a year to cover higher bandwidth even a thing for businesses? If it is, then you're right, and they're not doing what they can to help out. If not, then I assume Apple considers all the people they upset due to network bandwidth issues on iPhone release day as collateral damage.

I have access to multiple EPP (employee purchase program) stores and wanted to compare. The one I opened in Safari went to the order page but the two I opened in Firefox and Chrome told me they we still getting things ready. I switched them around, and any of the three opened fine in Safari, but not in Chrome or Firefox. Hmmm...

I’m hoping the 15 Pro battery is improved over the ****** battery life of the 14 Pro.
What are you folks doing with your phones? The iPhone I bought this morning replaces my iPhone 11, which on a quick search has a battery rated at 3110mah. The 11 has a max capacity of 87% as I type this. And at the end of the day, having unplugged it in the morning at 6:30am, at 11pm it STILL has 20+% power. The 15 Pro has a battery rating of 4422mah. I expect to never want for a charger again during the day. The 14 Pro had 4323mah. That's astounding battery life compared to what I've been using the last number of years.

I almost skipped this year but figured that as long as I'm already on the upgrade program and would pay the same monthly rate, I might as well jump in the pool. I have to admit that the brushed titanium and USB-C were what pushed me over the edge. If the brushed finish means I can ditch the case and not get the sides all fingerprinted up, I'm in. If I can finally gather up all the excess Lightning cables and take them to Apple for recycling, I'm very in.

I can also show my wife the camera features (that's her #1 killer app) and she can decide if she wants to upgrade and pass her phone to our kids.

I got on the Apple Store over an hour after the preordering opened and still managed to get a 256 GB Pro in black for 9/22 delivery.

Some apps like Snapchat are battery hogs. So if you live your life on social media or game a lot on it, your battery won't be that great.

5 mins early, 25 mins ordered started, then this happened. Initially was on the day pickup, then site crashed. Tried again and the date pushed back to a week, crashed. Tried again and finally get it with 3 weeks backlog. 15 MP is the first one went backlogged, then 15 P. All 15 variants are still available 45 mins later.

That could explain it. I jettisoned all social media years ago starting with Facebook. Yet another reason social media is the devil. Also not particularly a gamer. I suppose that's what folks are doing with their phones. :) I only really play one game and it's on my PS3. I don't think I'd enjoy gaming on that small a screen.

I'm the same way. I still have to charge my phone mid-late afternoon to make it through the rest of the day on my 12 Pro and my battery health is 84%. I do a lot of tethering, email, web, phone and text. I use the camera a bit too. The camera can eat your battery alive as well.

It's super weird that Best Buy still has pick up and shipping stock for release day. I'm hoping it's just that no one thought of actually ordering from them and not that they're just taking preorders that they have no hope of fulfilling...

I have a buddy that works for Best Buy and he said their store was super late opening up to preorders, so that may be why.

I went through the Apple preorder mess this morning. Got bumped to Oct 4th - 9th. I don’t have an Apple Store anywhere near me, but Best Buy does show available to pick-up at our store for next Friday. Real tempting to cancel order and go with Best Buy now…

I had a Verizon preorder that I cancelled to do a Best Buy in store pickup, so I understand the temptation all too well...

It looks like the Best Buy website tries to push the trade-in and upgrade through AT&T website. That dumps me into their monthly promotion, which I don’t want since it extends for 36 months. Is that what you came across?

They are experiencing delays in shipment up to 8 weeks before noon with preorders. What difference would have extra bandwidth made? Or are you just mad that it caused inconvenience to you?

Whatever phone you were trying to get did not go to “waste” as someone else got the phone at the earlier ship date

It would make zero sense to get more bandwidth or whatever if the end result within hrs was achieved extra bandwidth or not
Oh I didn’t even upgrade yet. Im
Just stating something that’s common sense. I wasn’t inconvenienced at all 😎

It pushed me to Verizon’s 36 month promotional credit (which I’m fine with.) But it looks like I’m starting to see dates and stock availability updating now. So hopefully it wasn’t fake.

Is yours showing pushing out now? I bit the bullet and paid outright to avoid the 36 months. I’ll just sell my other. But I cancelled Apple Order.

It may well be that Apple will sell more iPhone 15 Pro than 14 Pro - at least in Europe. Last year was a huge price hike in many countries aside from the USA. Thos year prices have dropped significantly. The 15 costs 50€ less than the 14 here in Germany. The 15 Pro is 100€ less than the 14 Pro at launch. And the 15 Pro Max with maximum storage is 150€ less than the 14 Pro Max 1TB.

Unusual in this inflationary environment. I am sure people will respond more to this years lineup than last years.

Nobody's going to get fired. Every single iPhone that would have been pre-ordered has still been pre-ordered and now there's delays on ordering them. Anyone who still wants an iPhone will get an iPhone, and Apple's bottom line won't change.
I disagree. I tried to order for 15 Minutes and as it didn’t worked I gave up and decided that my 13 Pro Max still does the job very well. And two of my friends did the same. Apple lost three iPhone sales because of the bad store experience. At least for now.

I see some models are pushed out a couple of days from release, but still some that are available on release date. Hopefully Best Buy comes through
