I really don't get all the excitement over colors. Is anyone really using these things without a case? I'd like to but I tried it with the iPhone 6 and ended up with a shattered phone, even though I'm a lot more careful than most.
I quit using cases for the most part except when I travel. Always afraid to hand my phone to someone I know who’s less careful than I that will drop it while trying to get a photo taken. I figure that’s why I pay $13.49 monthly for AppleCare+ but haven’t ever had to use since the iPhones got flat sides. Cheers

Yes sir! For a long time. If this is true. I'm definitely buying 2 iPhone 15 Pro Max in 1TB. It’s gotten my name written all over it. This is like a dream come true. I begged Apple and send emails and letters to Apple Corporate back in September, 2022. Only took 15 years!!! Wow!!!
Did you really send emails and physical letters?

✅ I sure did. A product Red iPhone or Red iPhone did make the top 3 list. Here is the electronic email proof of what exactly was requested. Along with the letters that I had mailed to Apple Corporate Office. Directing to the CEO and VP of the Product iPhone. 👇👇👇

The deep red is beautiful, but what the heck is happening here (looking at the blue and pink)? iPhone Pro colors that don't look like they came out of a Fortune 100 senior HR Dept acceptable list. Who authorized this?

I'm having flashbacks to the 5c (in a good way). Tempt me to the higher level Apple. All of these colors are screaming for clear cases.

I swap between using the leather case and just using the phone naked on my 13 mini, the glass has gotten strong enough that, while I’ve gotten a couple minor scratches over the last year and a half, it doesnt have anything major - despite being dropped naked more than a few times. I usually use the case for trips, but around the house and running errands, heading to the office, etc I leave the phone naked - it’s more comfortable in the hand. My only real complaint is I do wish they’d textured the edges to be less slippery, that’s about it.

As far as I'm aware, red anodization is not possible with titanium. So, the phone wouldn't be able to be titanium in that finish.

Please Apple! Please make it this exact shade of magenta and I’ll never ask for anything else again I swear 💕 Just once a max-saturation-magenta iPhone. Not salmon pink this time, magenta. I’ll buy at least 2, have to have a backup. Please please please 🙏🏻

I ended up getting the purple one for my current phone because I use a case, and decided I didn't care that much, but I miss the days when BLACK was an actual option.

The flat sides are a good point, my favorite iPhone was the 4S, which definitely felt a lot more stable in the hand without a case than the rounded-side models (I'm currently still using iPhone X—with a grippy silicone case, but looking to upgrade soon). But then the newer phones are much larger and heavier than that phone too, and as I understand it, much more expensive to repair (for example ~$550 for iPhone 14 cracked rear glass). Since I tend to keep phones longer than 2 years these days, AppleCare will run out. I'm hoping they'll start to make the Pros with non-glass backs again, that'll give me more confidence.

Yes, I have used mine since the X without a case. Once they raised the rate for the back glass to $399, it doesn't make sense to me not to have AC+. Though, like you, I'm more careful than most, so it's really more for peace of mind, as it would probably be cheaper to self-insure. It's nice when there are random issues like the screen stops working (happened 3x on my iPhone X).

I drop it even less since I stopped using a case. Before the 11, I only had 2 damaged screens since the original iPhone. One was when I fell on a run. The other was when I was putting it back in the case for the first time, 1 week after AC+ expired! 😂 Since then, I get the monthly AC+, so I can always keep it active.

I mentioned it above, but you can get AC+ monthly now. I too keep mine longer since the X. Before that, I changed yearly. Except for the 12 mini. I loved the size but wanted the better camera again.

Honestly, down! They should just license colors from Porsche tbh
I had a Docomo 3G flip phone back in the early noughties that was apparently designed by sports car designer.
It’s the only red phone I’ve ever owned.

It was epic but looked like an early onset midlife crisis. Lol.

This looks more like a wine colour.

I exclusively use my phone without a case and I really appreciate the different color options. If I break the phone that’s what I have applecare for.

That’s what AppleCare is for. I love showing off the new sleek deep purple and don’t want added bulk or weight especially when the phones are already huge.

I've never used a case. I've never damaged an iPhone either. Not that it would be any great tragedy, given I have Apple Care anyway.

You'd buy 2 iPhone Pro Max, yet complain about the rumored price of the VR headset? Ummm, okay. 🙄🤦‍♂️
It’s an iPhone. To me iPhones are priceless. It’s untouchable. It’s been like that for years. Perhaps a decade. Apple’s AR/VR doesn’t even come close to what an iPhone is capable of doing. 🤷🏻‍♀️
