iPhone 15 Pro Likely to Feature Up to 8GB RAM, 1TB Storage

Currently using 48.9 of 256 GB on my 11 Pro.

If I choose to upgrade this year, I'm actually considering getting the 128 GB...if available.

Same as when they went from 4GB to 6GB; it's good for people who will take advantage of it. If you don't take advantage of it, then it's not a feature which would compel you to upgrade.

That is not true at all! You must have an Android phone! lol It's not the iPhone alone, it is the Apps and their new capabilities!

They've always offered the same storage levels as the 'regular' phone models. The 14 and the 14 Pro both started at 128gb, I was wondering if the Pro would start at 256gb. Like a 14" MacBook Pro starts at 512gb as opposed to the MBA's 256gb type thing.

I’m referring to the 12-series where standard 12s has 64GB base and 12 Pro has 128GB.

That is no surprise because we enabled Apple to get away with everything, even as storage memory prices have tumbled significantly. If you have 4K video recording or HQ picture that takes significant amount of space, it should be no brainer to enable 256GB storage for iPhone Pro and Pro Max models. I mean let's not even talk about iCloud storage capped at 5GB, more than decades ago but Apple continue to milk up profit margins while giving less and old tech of everything because we got bunch of "shut up and take my money" sheep fanboys.

I remember the iPhone 7 had 2GB of RAM while the iPhone 7 Plus had 3GB of RAM because of the extra camera. The 15 Pro Max will get a periscope lens so maybe only the 15 Pro Max gets the extra RAM? Hopefully, Apple is not that $tingy like they are with storage (or lack of) and gives the 15 Pro 8GB of RAM as well.

I've got an android phone. Not the fancy-smancy no microSD card, iPhone wannabe.😒

Not having a microSD expansion slot is a deal breaker for me. I have a bunch of 256GB microSD that I use for my movie collection. No need to download a 5GB movie on to my phone everytime I want something to watch on a long trip. Swap microSD, takes less than a minute and I've got 256GB of movies to view.

Phone manufacturers keep removing features and charging more. Call me Ahab, because this has become my white whale.

I will not sacrifice the microSD slot. We've made too many compromises already. Too many retreats. They made the battery non-removable and we fall back. They removed the headphone jack, and we fall back. Not again! The line must be drawn here, this far, no further!

This IS true....you must be an Apple FanBoy then....because nothing remarkable has come out since "FaceID" imo. I own all things Apple and even I can see where Apple and the iPhone hasn't advanced in worthy hardware upgrades or advanced features.

Yeah, this seems like a great year for anyone not already on a 14 Pro, but if you are? You get… USB C… and nothing else of substantial difference. As far as we know anyway. 2TB would’ve been a compelling upgrade for me, but it looks like we don’t even get that. Guess we’ll find out tomorrow.

I made that same jump last year. Was a no-brainer. As many are saying, 256 should be base. 128 is embarrassing.
That said, my soon-to-be 13 yo is on the verge of their first phone. You already know they're getting the 128.* 😂



* Yes, I know the SE offers 64 GB. But that's efing offensive. Take a few photos from a long weekend and you're phone is done.

These things are still going to sell like hot cakes. Hell I even have a 14 Pro Max and am contemplating upgrading because I like the "latest and greatest". I am suckered into the Apple ecosystem, but I also have been enjoying the S23 Ultra on the side as my backup phone. Different strokes for different folks, I just happen to like both. I enjoy the ecosystem of the iPhone, and being allowed to customize the S23 Ultra to my hearts content.
