To all those saying "wow it got cheaper in Europe" and being all flowers about it, I think it's the attitude like this that allows Apple to play games with the prices. And it's for our bad. Last year they went insane about pricing in Europe, so being "happy" they finally fixed this nonsense is not the reason to thank them. New prices are still ridiculous. Please have some self-respect and consider prices objectively, not just comparing to the previous year. If we continue to compare to previous year only, they'll keep increasing prices all the time and we'll be fine about it. Boiling frog syndrome at its finest.

Prices in the UK kind of back to normal now i.e £999 for the base Pro and £799 for the iphone 15.

I think price remained the same for Pro Max in Germany if I am not mistaken

edit: the iPhone Pro got 100 EUR cheaper

edit 2: iPhone Pro Max is actually 50 EUR cheaper as well
Same throughout Europe! Regular 15 is 50 EUR less. Finally makes springing for the Pro a good value proposition compared to the regular model out here too. It's a good move.

This was the only factor that I was worrying about.

When I heard those rumours of the entry Pro Max starting at 128G for a price increase, I was prepared to keep my X since it still works and the battery life is 96% (replaced 3rd party - one time).

Now I’ll probably be getting a 15 Pro Max in time for the holidays.

Edit: Oh and was obviously waiting for USBC.

Unfortunately this happens with inflation being absolutely insane. If you told me that I would consider getting gas for 1,81 Cent cheap 3 years ago, I would have laughed in your face. At this point I am happy when it is below 1,90 even though it used to be like 1,50. The Cheese Burger also went from 1 Euro, to 1,30 Euro to 2,60 Euro at Mc Donalds!

"technically not a price increase" ha this is absolutely a price increase...I'd bet the majority of people were buying the $1100 base model. Now they're forced to spend $100 more even if they don't care about the extra storage. Apple makes huge margins on storage upgrades, so they're definitely getting more value out of it than you are.

(I say this as someone who will be preordering it on Friday)
Thank you! Someone finally gets it. And I'm more pissed they only did it to the Max. Wanting a bigger screen has nothing to do with needing more storage!!

Actually 130€ cheaper for the pro max 😁 bought it last year at Apple to release for 1579€ (256gb version)

Looks like T-Mobile is offering $1000 for my 13 Pro. Easy upgrade for me. I was going to skip this one but with a "free" upgrade to the 15 Pro or a $200 to the Prom Max, that's basically a no-brainer to get a new phone.

Do you have to get the 256 for the camera thing?

last year:

ProRes video recording is limited to 1080p at 30 frames per second on iPhone 14 Pro models with a 128GB storage capacity. To record ProRes video in 4K at 30 frames per second, a model with a 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB storage capacity is required.Sep 10, 2022

So, technically, no price increase. Just making people upgrade their storage.
Technically is seeing nvme ssd's can be bought with 2tb including the retailer's markup for $100. I sh*t you not that change would actually cost them like $2. So yeah for the consumer it's technically no price increase but for Apple based on those parts alone they're making a $100 higher base price with a change that costs them 2% of that. Although I'm sure part of it is definitely the higher cost of "3nm" chips from tsmc so in a vacuum it's not malicious although it is being done through just shifting around their disgusting 10x+ upcharge on ssd upgrades so they deserve no thanks.
