I'm not liking this. I usually get the Pro Max and at the base storage configuration of 128gb, which is more than enough for my needs. Now I'm forced to get the 256gb variant and have to pay a 100 dollars more. No idea why Apple did away with the 128gb version.
I think you’ve answered your own question there…

Attention: Apple upgrade business is 90% of all purchases. The fact the price did not go up and iCloud plans have been upgraded dont be fooled by the 256GB pricetag. I would not be surprised if there is a feature disabled, 6 GB vs 8 GB or making two pictures fills up the storage over 128GB.

Ugh and of course my crappy Galaxy Z Flip 5 isnt a listed trade device. Fingers crossed I can order from the T-Mobile website day of and get something meaningful for it. I can't wait to leave Samsung.
Nor Z Flip 4??? It just came out last year for $1k. I wonder if once you can pick the carrier deal, more choices will show, or if I just have to buy through VZW again?

T-Mobile doesnt have anything regarding the new iPhone on their website and even choosing the carrier deals on the Apple site doesnt give any options for the Z Flips. I literally just got mine a month ago so I'm hoping at the very least once its available to order through T-Mobile it'll give me the option to trade in even though I much prefer ordering from Apple directly.

Hardly. The UK starting price of the 15 Pro is £100 (including VAT) cheaper than what the 14 Pro was last year. It's even £50 (including VAT) cheaper than what the starting price of the 11 Pro was back in 2019 which had HALF the storage.

The UK starting price of the 15 Pro Max with twice the storage is the same as what the 14 Pro Max was last year.
Sarcasm really is a lost art that some people really don’t get. Such a shame.

Given how much some people in the UK (and rest of Europe) seem to like to complain about evil Apple's outrageously high overseas prices and how much Europeans get ripped off by Apple, I didn't catch the sarcasm.

Thank you lol

The trend in the last 3 years $780 for the 12 Pro Max, $720 for the 13 Pro Max and now $650 for the 14 Pro Max.

I do now know how much they offered for the 11 Pro Max because I sold it myself that year.
Yeah. I’d rather sell it elsewhere than do a trade-in. In Europe you could easily net 800-1000€ depending on storage and condition.

Planning to upgrade from 11 Pro to 15 Pro 256Go, but with the small price difference between 15P 256 Go et 15PM 256Go, and not too big difference in size and weight. I am thinking to jump to 15PM.

So, technically, no price increase. Just making people upgrade their storage.
This is Apple’s compromise as next year’s iPhone 16 Pro will start with 256GB on the standard version as well, that is when the price will be bumped.

Seems the ProMax camera benefits will also make it to next years standard model.

If upgrading to a PM version it’s an okay benefit, however the standard version is just a compromise this year.

Hold-off till next year.

I have to check to see if VZW has anything yet

But Mark Gurman said there would be one.

I demand Apple raise prices so Gurman can be correct.
There probably was going to be a price increase if the standard model got 256GB but Apple compromised and said keep the storage and price the same as last year. This is evident with the PM getting 256GB base storage and a price bump. This is not rocket science, Gurman May very well be right but Apple compromised with options. Expect the price to go up next year.

I sort of had to go through with this on the 9th gen iPad. 64 GB or 256 GB of storage. No in-between, and I didn't want to pay an extra $150 for the higher storage. I ended up getting the 64 GB model. I initially came out behind b/c while I did estimate that to be enough, Apple Arcade ended up being the curveball I didn't know about (with a nontrivial # of their games eating up 2 GB to 5 GB, apiece). I then came out ahead when I took a break from AA after my free trial, got "standalone" games for iOS (along with Android), and felt no need to resub to AA. I was then gifted a Switch, which further sealed that deal (since time is the bottleneck, and that time has been going into that now)!

"The Costco principle"... Having a 50-count Aspirin product would take away sales from the 100-ct one, so they simply remove the former so the only option is the latter!
