How about speed?, what benefits did the 3nm CPU brings in real life??.
So Apple is finally catching with Android phones… of 5 years ago… and we, mindless marketing subjects, are happy to spend over 1000usd for that old tech… and I desperately NEED the natural Ti pro max. All others are a downgrade over my 14 pro Max.

🤔 Does anyone know what the 5x telephoto lens f-stop is, I.e. how much light is let into the sensor.

After seeing reviews, I think my 13 Pro Max it's staying one more year with me.

Looking foward to the 2024 16 Ultra, hopefully with a better display, a smaller Dynamic Island (maybe under-display FaceID), and even better GPU ray tracing graphics.

I’m curious about the action button…can you use the button to set your phone to mute and then repurpose it for something else? I never take my phone off mute because I usually have my watch on. Is there somewhere in settings or control center to mute/unmute the phone?
I would have to assume there is, but I'll be loath to repurpose that Action Button because I will want to still have a reliable and immediate way to be sure the phone is on silent. The certainty of the hardware mute switch will be missed.

What I'm hoping is that a future iOS update allows one to assign a new function to the Action Button while still letting you use it to silence the phone -- say, a long press-and-hold to toggle mute while a shorter press activates whatever other function.

“go well beyond USB-C”. LOL journalists. USB-C is one among many minor updates. Most people care much more about design or the camera. I know basically no one who decides what to purchase based on the connector.
You'd never know from all the USB-C zealotry on forums like this. You'd think the Lightning port was murdering puppies, the way people freak out about it.

iPhone 15 Pro Max brings improvements in various aspects, without distorting the philosophy of the iPhone and in some states it even costs 150 euro less than the 14 pro max.
Good work this year too, all very balanced, as tradition.
For me this year the Pro Max is the model to buy and also this year the best top of the range on the market.

Going full “Get off my lawn” here. I hardly recognize or know who the hell these YouTuber’s are and don’t understand the fascination with them. Some of these people have the personalities of unfed water buffaloes.

I watch MKBHD.. his videos are informative and he's not shy about criticizing apple or pointing out any negatives about the products.... He will even tell you if something is not worth buying or upgrading to..... I think at this point he has enough clout that he can do that without worrying about Apple black balling him. He's definitely not like most of the others.

Geekwan A17pro review

This is the review that I mentioned earlier. It's now posted on Youtube as well. Touched on a lot more aspects (aside from aesthetics) and much more in depth than most of the reviewers in this article.

1, CPU has a great upper limit but comes at a very high cost in energy consumption, much, much higher than expected. Higher temperature, takes shorter to throttle, etc.

2, GPU is similar. Also not very energy-efficient.

3, Because of the first two points, battery life disappoints. iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max both saw significant downgrade from 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max.

I really want to be head over heels to get it, but this year I honestly can't force myself. I have had every iteration outside of the first iPhone and the 7, no feat to brag about just fanboyism at its finest. This iPhone feels too incremental for me, even more so than the S upgrades of yesteryear. I am one of the few opposed to USB C in the short term but might feel otherwise after some time passes. I honestly hate how most "major" upgrades always seem to be camera-related. I get it this generation of consumers is pretty narcissistic and wants to share their life with the internet constantly, but man do I miss the days of new smartphones having upgraded DACs, tweaks or changes to their display panels, etc. I may purchase one before my carrier $1000 off offer expires but I don't feel as excited to upgrade. I now understand why some keep their devices 2-3 years, there really isn't too much necessary or even fun change coming year to year anymore.

This is me. I've had the iPhone 11 Pro since release. And I'm happy with it for the most part.

However, I'm ready to upgrade. I have a big trip to Chile coming up and this is my camera of choice. Small, portable, good photos. I can't upgrade every year, makes no sense to me Personally, I guess if I had money to blow then I could if I desired.

The latest review from Chinese reviewer Geekwan has been posted on the Chinese website bilibili. The review shows that 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max both have stepped back in terms of battery life, with 15 Pro being the worst. This is beyond unacceptable from what we expect out of a 3nm chip. I would take those with a pinch of salt.

nobody has reported on any issued with battery life

Ah ****, this doesn't sound too promising.
