No hate but I am really curious how long Apple will be able to push it before hopefully going back to two models a year and the previous generation simply dropping in price like back in the day. One can wish right? maybe the incoming recession will be an eye opener. You can only increase the price so much to compensate less sales in total (again, simply assuming).

Personally, our energy price has nearly doubled, soon people will not be able to afford even charging their things 😅

On the other hand, there are unfortunately a lot of those people that rather save money on other things (like school supply for their children, mentally talking about someone specific 👀), to buy a new iPhone.

haptic buttons? I like the innovation but not sure about this one. I’ve struggled with haptic buttons. Unfortunately a lot of car companies have done this; and they are frustrating to use.

As the AR/VR device launch approaches, I'm curious how the iPhone 15 will be designed with that in kind.

iPhone is at the heart of the company and its revenue, so like having Apple Watch be a motion controller in realityOS will take the Apple ecosystem into another league.

Maybe iPhone updates should stop being annual and be every two years. It's getting harder and harder to justify buying new phones.

Loved my X too unfortunately something broke (No more true color, no auto brighntness and it was restarting sprocadically mainly when temperature was high) so I got the 14 pm.
Photos are much better now. Love the bigger display and snappiness. Also the new functionlity to be able to mark text out of pictures is great.
So from the X it was a really big upgrade. But the price is meanwhile crazy, I paid twice the price as I did for the X.

What envelope are they pushing with the specific features listed in the OP? USB-C is old news for phones, Apple is still using tech that has USB 2 speeds. Faster CPU? That is a given and how much will that really change how you work on your phone? I don't notice any difference in web page and app loading on my 13 as I did with my XR or 11, they are all plenty fast for regular use. More RAM, ok again Apple just being slow to the game again and a normal upgrade you would expect to see in a new device. Soild state buttons would be nice if it meant they could actually make a waterproof phone, doubt we will see that though and this to me seems more like a gimmick that does not really alter or improve how I already use my phone. Better camera is expected and should happen.

I took a picture of a computer, but needed the device ID off it, when I tried to blow it up, it was so blurry. I couldn't understand why considering I took the picture so close.

But then again, pics are still overall great. I took some pics at a gathering with family and friends recently and everyone complimenting how my iPhone X pics looked the best.

We'll see, but every year since fall 2018, I play with it each rev at store and walk out feeling just fine. Took over 700 videos and pictures this summer when my sibling came to visit and couldn't believe a 5 year old phone was doing this well.

In your situation, I wouldn't bother going to the Apple Store to check it out. Next time Pre-Order the iPhone and have it delivered to your house directly. It's a different type of feeling and I don't know how to explain it in words. Trust me, you will be blown away. Full of surprises* iPhone is king!

The introduction of night mode and deep fusion with the 11 series seriously improved photo quality in those edge use cases. Other than that I feel like the only other meaningful upgrade for me has been 5G (and I realize YMMV with 5G depending on where you live). Time will tell what the next thing that convinces me to upgrade is, but this list isn't doing it for me...

I agree. Going to the Apple Store to play with iPhones I never feel like they’re much different until I have one at home and can really let the differences marinate. I had the X and the 11 Pro, skipped the 12 and 13. If I went into a store and tried the 14 I’d probably say meh, but the 14 Pro is significantly better than my 11 Pro was

Really just a year over year spec bump. USBC should have been already out. Yet now Apple wants to force Pro Pricing to get Incremental upgrades.

This my take on it:
1. iPhone 13 Pro was great, 14 Pro is great too, but no practical difference with vs 13
2. more ram, faster chip - how can I even notice it? Since many generations it is all smooth for what I am doing
3. USB-C is nice, but an enforced standard finally

Now…adding camera improvement to Max only is a bummer. I hate the size of Max. I can pay more for advanced features, but keep the size I like

The 10x optical zoom would be nice but having it only in the larger size is a deal breaker for me. Outside of that, the other features like you mention don't really change anything for me as well on day to day level.
