Now all I need to hear is that this year's iPad pros are getting at least 16GB RAM.
Wi-Fi 6E? It should have been Wi-Fi 7!
Wi-Fi 6E??? Whaaat? Wi-Fi7 is the new and first worthwhile upgrade feature. Apple is a joke if this is true.
Pro’s should have at least 9gb then, no way should the bargain phone get as much as the pro.
You say the iPhone 16 will have 8GB but you forgot it’s Apple’s magic RAM.
So you should call it iPhone 32.

Without a new model design this does nothing for me. I’m patiently waiting on the z flip 6.
wait......wow! you mean, just like my 2022 S22 and less memory than my 2020 Note 20 (12GB)? That is amazing, magical and genius(as always from grifter Apple). I know that 8GB from Apple are equivalent to a Gazillion GB from anyone else. If it says Apple my goose bumps just go whore mode and I just cant help it. I need to have it, even though it is an OK product, but a whole lot pricier and suckier.
Not sure why you should either. If you need its features buy it, but why should the base iPhone not get any upgrades? I mean the RAM isn't even an advertised aspect of the phone, so Apple did this because of new functionality in the os that takes advantage of it.

Agreed. With the iPhone 16 non-Pro getting 8GB RAM, the Pro models should get 12GB RAM
iPhone 17 is when rumors have indicated an increased refresh rate for the standard models allowing for AOD. Hopefully they don't just do 90Hz and say 120Hz is only for pros.
The iPhone 11 series and 14 series phones all had the same amount of RAM (4GB and 6GB respectively), if history repeats they will give the Pro models a boost the year after.
I am curious whether the rumored 2025 SE would get 8GB of RAM as well. I could see it if it's really needed for AI.
I guess we’ll see a bump up to 10GB first. I don’t know if Samsung and other manufacturers have ever configured their phones with 10GB because I’ve only seen 12GB listed as far as I can remember.
May I ask why? I am an Iphone user since a while and I never ever had memory issues. I learned already not to close any app (except if it's not working), but just switch them. It was pretty hard, because on android you keep doing it regardless how much RAM you have.

Hopefully some more exciting rumours will pop up and entice me to upgrade from my 14 pro max lol. We'll see
I don’t see how anyone using a current generation iPhone has performance criticisms. How could your phone actually be faster with the same OS? There’s so much headroom in every Apple Silicon product that only a tiny minority of people can realistically be impacted by any notional hardware performance ceiling.
