Order went through, got email confirmation, but still not showing in my Apple account. I can find it by searching for the order number though. IIRC, same thing last time I got up at this absurd hour.

Crappy for me. Tried right at 7:00a on both Apple and T-Mobile sites. Few min later I was able to get in and order 16PM Black on Apple, but already now 10/2-10/7. T-Mobile site seemed smooth til checkout and then took a dump. Oh well.

So I missed the release day delivery of a Black iPhone Pro Max 256GB because I wanted to pay with my Apple Account balance. I had enough in there for the full price of the phone (I traded in many old products over the past year), but the balance was never available. Chat wasn't so helpful either.

However, I removed the monthly AppleCare+ subscription from the device and then I could apply the Apple Account balance. Just a note for anyone that may run into that issue. Of course now I get a phone a few weeks later unfortunately due to the time it took to figure out the issue (I could not find anything about this with Google).

Used the Apple Store app. 16PM 256gb in black with 9/20 delivery. My receipt is dated 13 minutes after 5am pacific.

I ended up ordering and upgrade from AT&T. When I tried placing the order with Apple the 512GB Black Pro had an arrive date the first of Oct. AT&T arrive date is Sept 20th. I also had the $35 activation fee waived ordering on the AT&T site.

From what I have found that option stopped in 2023. Now you need to pay in full if you want an unlocked iPhone without a carrier.

"If you buy an iPhone using Apple Card Monthly Installments, you need to choose AT&T, T-Mobile, or Verizon as your carrier when you check out. After your purchase, you'll have one installment due every month for 24 months, and you can change carriers at any time."https://support.apple.com/en-us/102730
That pissed me off, it used to be seamless with Apple and financing through carriers via the Veterans website because I could pick it up locally than waiting for delivery. Oh well, the veterans site was A pain to load up this time though

Seems like there's always some stock on launch day at the stores (for a good number of years now), if you go in close to opening you'll probably just be able to walk in and get what you want.

Thanks, hope so. My wife turns 50 on the 20th and was really hoping for the combo upgrade/birthday gift for her ;)

The other glitch I had (and maybe just takes time to correct itself while processing?) is that I used several hundred dollars of Apple credit on my account when I checked out. It indeed showed the delta to then charge to my credit card, but, after placing the order my Apple account still shows that credit. Hope just some delay with the processing.

Yeah...just keep checking the site from 7-9AM your time. I always seem to find one on launch weekend. They get a steady supply

Ordered iPhone Pro Max Natural Titanium 256GB through the Apple website in Ireland. Ordered a couple of minutes after the website came back on line. Only took a couple of minutes and got confirmed delivery for next Friday the 20th. Orders now pushed out till 30th September - 7th October.

This, I was just a surprised to see every configuration except this slip this early!

They slip, but you can always easily pick these up on launch day. If you don't get a launch day delivery, just go on the Apple website around 8am the day of, and you can search the stores inventory.

Darn, guess I'm going to have to give up for the night. Keeps rejecting my card no matter how many times I check it and re-submit, or remove and re-add it (and no limits on the card that would explain the issue).

First ever attempt at an apple pre-order. What a frustrating 2 hours this has been.

[edit] I would have tried the 'order via app' method people were talking about but by SE gen 1 is too old to download the Apple store app.

Can't believe this process this time, as soon as the app refreshed I was straight into the preorder I'd prepared, and checked out Pro Max Natural for launch day delivery in less than 30 seconds, so fast that I had to go and double check I'd actually done it right. Looking forward to a colour that starts off as natural titanium rather than chipping itself into natural titanium over the year

Apple is now accepting orders for the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max through its online storefront and through the Apple Store app. The Apple Store app is often the quickest way to get a pre-order in as typically comes online ahead of the website.

iPhone-16-Pre-Orders-Feature.jpg

Pre-orders are being accepted in more than 58 countries and regions around the world, and if you used Apple's "Get Ready" feature ahead of time, you should be able to get your order in with a few taps.

Pricing on the iPhone 16 starts at $799 in the United States, while pricing on the iPhone 16 Plus starts at $899. The iPhone 16 Pro is priced starting at $999, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max starts at $1,199. Note that the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, and iPhone 16 Pro start with 128GB of storage, but the Pro Max starts at 256GB.

iPhone 16 prices vary by country, and go up with increased storage space. The 16 and 16 Plus support up to 512GB, while the 16 Pro and Pro Max support up to 1TB storage space. Apple is encouraging customers to use trade-in credits to lower the iPhone's price, and it is promoting carrier deals from AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile in the U.S.

All four iPhone 16 models feature the new Camera Control button for taking photos and video, and have chips capable of supporting the Apple Intelligence features coming in a future iOS 18 update. Other features include the Action Button, faster 5G, faster MagSafe and USB-C charging, Wi-Fi 7, longer battery life, and new color options.

The iPhone 16 Pro models have been updated with larger displays with slimmer bezels while iPhone 16 display size hasn't changed. The iPhone 16 Pro has a 6.3-inch display, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max has a 6.9-inch display. Other "Pro" features include a more advanced A18 chip, support for ProMotion and Always-On display technology, along with a 48-megapixel Ultra Wide lens and a 5x Telephoto lens, which is now available across both models.

We haven't heard rumors of production shortages, so it is not clear what supplies will look like. It is a good idea to pre-order right away just in case some models sell out, especially in the new Desert Titanium iPhone 16 Pro color.

In addition to Apple, U.S. carriers like Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile are accepting pre-orders starting now, as are carriers worldwide. Big box retailers like Best Buy, Target, and Walmart are also selling the new iPhone models.

Customers who pre-order an iPhone 16 or iPhone 16 Pro can expect to begin receiving their new devices on Friday, September 20, which is the official iPhone 16 launch date.

I slept in. Oct 8 for pro max but got lucky on a 16 pro sept20 - both 1tb

Apple‘s linking of local area store pre-order availability is really well done this year. The Apple Store app reports availability of pickup vs delivery dates while selecting different device configurations. Haven’t seen this working so well in the past

First time pre-ordering with Apple since the iPhone 7… did the pre-pre order earlier in the week, today opened the app at 1pm and order complete by 1:02pm and coming Friday 😍

Ordered a Desert Titanium 512GB Pro Max from aleph, the closest you can get to an official Apple store/chain here. Went smooth, ordered it while in my sister's house and finished 9-10 minutes after preorders opened here.
See ya on (whatever the date that it arrives, they didnt give me a tracking no. yet, expecting on the 20th as that is what the website says when ordering a new 16 Pro Max)!
