A couple of pictures and more impressions.
- The AOD is much brighter than I anticipated. Probably the same as the 15 Pro but coming from a 13, it was quite a surprise.
- Had a quick play with photographic styles, and it feels like a game changer. I think it will make a lot of people very happy to be able to find a style that work for them and use it as default.
- Camera control will take some getting used to! It feels like it just takes much longer to use it, instead of just tapping on the screen, but maybe it will just take some getting used to. I have to press a bit harder that I'd like to take the phot and it does feel like you're moving the phone a bit when you do. Again, might just get used to it. First impression is that it's not really a game changer. Maybe for video, but I mainly take photos.
- My 13Pro never felt slow, but this one definitely feels snappier.
Photographic styles have been there since what? iPhone 13? No one cared. Everyone will forget these too

Mine should be getting delivered today in Australia. But Australia Lost now showing expected delivery Monday 23rd. Hoping it is just a mistake.
Dude cancel it. You can literally walk into any store and they are all available besides the high capacity ones > 512

It’s so odd to me. I don’t understand putting a case in a $1200 device. But that’s just me I guess. Never used a case for an iPhone. Had to use AppleCare once.
I've dropped mine a few times. Just from a few feet up but enough to scratch it up at least if not for the case. It feels fine with the case and I see no point in showing it like some sort of jewelry. I have a wallet case so I always have what I need in hand.

Easy pass on the 16 since my 15 Pro Max looks like new and I see no reason to upgrade for the first time in years. As for the case, I never dropped my phone but I know the day I decide to not have a case, I will drop it. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I should have specified the new, latest generation photographic styles that are only available on 16 models.
And I think more people used it than you think. My mom (non very techy) kept complaining that her iPhone photos were not as vivid as some other phones' pics. She set her style to vivid and she's much happier. She doesn't have to think about it and now it just does it.
However the new granular control of the new styles is pretty wild, and I can definitely see myself setting a particular style for my photos.

Of course there is pinkish gold. It’s the same gold from previous years. Same phone as the 15 also.
Cant tell if you are envious or just being sarcastic :)

Frankly going from a 13 Pro is going to seem huge.
No matter what you think ...

Bigger screen, battery, island instead of notch, camera button and power to run AI stuff in a few months.

I'm going with envy...

Some vocally loud voices are under the impression that their must upgrade every year. I suspect Apple is delaying or trickling innovation to align with its green wash message. Their know you going to upgrade eventually which provides a nice even revenue stream rather that blips.

I said the same thing. But I still got sucked in! Looking forward to the bigger screen haha! Switched up the colour this time (natural titanium) too. I have always gone black/grey.
