iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro Orders Start Arriving to Customers

Hoping my white 16PM 1TB will arrive today, but doubtful because I haven't ordered it yet.
My estimated delivery time has slipped back to 1455-1700, meaning if the postie doesn't call when they get here or if it isn't a good time to duck out of the Teams meeting I have scheduled for that time, I won't be able to pick it up from the post office until Monday. I'm almost tempted to go camp out in the lobby and join the Teams meeting from my phone.

In photos, the desert titanium looks very similar to the gold color from the iPhone XS. Would you all say this is accurate?
The sides look pretty decent. I was worried they'd make it too glossy like stainless steel. Personally, I love the look and feel of the 15 Pro's matte titanium.
Why can’t the pro phones have the vibrant colours of the base model! The closest they came was Sierra Blue for 13 PM and that is still my favourite colour.
Forgot today was release day. Called my local and they had the 16pro in stock. Walked in and out within 30mins with my new phone. Just waiting for it to finish setting up from the cloud. Decided to step down from the pro max as the size of them are just ridiculous these days.i went natural too. Colour doesn’t bother me much as its always in a case.

Received my 16 Pro in Desert Sand, the sand is almost pink feeling borderline off white. It does give it premium look, not sure I would buy it again if I had the choice.

The best gold is the one Apple did for the XS/XS Max. My Mom still uses an XS, and it looks beautiful! I had an XS Max back in the day as well.
It’s a sneakily disguised shade of beige.
At least that’s what it looked like under the lights on their display at Yodobashi.
It looks pretty goldish to me from the photos. Beige is definitely not this.

Same I have been using IPhone since 17 years beginning in 2007 the original and I bought them all, this is the first time I will not get an iPhone at launch due to work, will pickup mine next Monday, it’s ok it will not change anything specially this year other than the camera control it looks very similar to my 15 PM
Loving the white Pro. Looks fantastic and vibrant after years of black phones.
A few standouts to me so far:
- The new 6.3 inch screen looks absolutely fantastic compared to my 12 Pro. ProMotion is noticeable and the Always on display is very nice.
- The camera capture button seems pretty meh. It takes a fair bit of force to fully depress it, which can add camera shake. Also, and maybe I'm alone in this, the zoom seems to be backwards. Last time I used a traditional camera, you would pull your (right) index finger from the left to the right to zoom in. It's backwards on the iPhone.
- The Action Button on the other hand seems pretty helpful. I'll be playing around with customising it soon.
- Transfer process is smooth but pretty slow. I restored from iCloud but probably should have restored from my old phone.
- Braided cable is nice. SIM ejector tool is included in Australia but no paperwork at all.
- The camera array is WAY bigger than on the 12 Pro. The phone 'rocks' when laying down flat on a surface.
- The speakers (playing music) gets a lot louder and clearer than my 12 Pro.

I just have 2 questions.
1. Can someone who has a black 15 pro that ordered the 16 pro in black take some comparison shots to see if the 16 series is truly darker? I didn’t like how the 15 pro’s were sort of a faded looking black.
2. If you push it, does it get hot, like 4k 120 video, running nav while charging, etc.

I’m in California. Already this evening I have received 3 SPAM emails informing me I’ve “Won a free iPhones 16 pro”. Does that count? 🤣
