Highly doubt they do another gold color next year. It was the special color this year after Natural Titanium replaced gold in the yearly color options. It's way more likely we see a more vibrant color (in the most dull pro way) like green, blue, or purple.

well they are two tone... the side of my Desert Titanium is beautiful. The back looks more tobacco stained off white. LOL

just need a case now... and screen protector... off to shop online ;)
 
Never seen a bigger mess at a store than this morning at the Apple Store in Berlin.

This all could have been avoided if the damn stores had a simple check out counter!

Huge queue and then you get asked to wait at one of those tables and everyone is shouting names like data privacy doesn't exist and you just wonder id they forgot you or not.

Oh and they only have 2 of those devices in the whole store with a million of people to put on screen protectors. I felt so bad for the guy having to deal with it.
 
Connected 16PM to my Mac to a 10 Gbps port on my Thunderbolt 4 dock. Syncing songs seemed to be pretty slow even taking into account music transcoding things – not discernibly faster than on my several generations older phone. Looked in System Information and 'Speed' reads 'Up to 480 Mb/s'.

Same when I use a USB-C cable that came with an SSD that's capable of much faster than USB 2.0 transfer rates, and connected to a 10 Gbps port directly on Mac.

WiFi is always going to download faster than a usb cable on iPhones. It’s always been this way.

It appears the authoritative "it's just an S model release" put-down for every new Apple iPhone release is apparently a real crowd-pleaser and a forum cred-builder. A two-fer!

Pretty sure they did this for China. I know when they did the first gold iPhone it was for China. Apparently it's a very popular color there. And then there's the black one which has always been a safe bet to look decent.

But yeah, the other two colors do look basic. Not quite sure I'd call it cheap, but it does look relatively simple to produce vs the more vibrant colors of previous years.
 
Went to see the new iPhones.

Liked the brighter colours on non Pro. Pink could have been brighter. Desert Titanium looks similar to 12 Pro. Not impressed with the colours on Pro models.

Hope you were lucky and got one. In the future you can also just look in the Apple Store app both the night before and around 4AM onwards local time to see if new stock shows up on screen. If you missed out on one today. Have a look at 4AM onwards tomorrow and new stock could appear.
 
Somehow this happens before my brand new M4 iPad “pro” is able to get iPadOS 18 🤣🤣🤣 a joke for sure
 
So my 16 Pro is being delivered later (I instantly pre-order every year like a sucker) and I decided to check my 15 Pro battery health. What are the chances my cycle count is exactly 365?? What are some of ya'll's counts out there?

First impression: well the Pro Max was probably the wrong choice for me coming from the standard 11. It's just a little too large and I'd probably have been happier with the 16 Pro. Chances are I'd think the opposite had I gone the other way 🤦‍♂️

My fingers still touch the bottom of the camera lense grid so if probably struggle with the Pro and be resting on the lenses.
