How dies the back of the black hold up? Are the scratch or finger print issues?

I like how it feels for the most part. I’m not thrilled with the amount of scratch resistance on the back. Caudabe is apparently going to send me a replacement for the initial one I got, which immediately got scratches from very light use.

I was hoping they’d let me exchange for a sheath, but it doesn’t sound like it.
It's been about two weeks now so thought I'd give an update. I've been switching between both the Midnight and Ruby every other day etc. I can confirm that both cases have scratches on the back. The Midnight looks worse as the scratches are very evident. The Ruby is better because the red hides them quite well.

I emailed Caudabe back and asked them to replace with a Sheath, but I don’t think they will. It’s taking them about a week to answer my emails every time… they have got to get better at scaling their business.

IMO, the Paragon basically sucks. Why in the world Caudabe scrapped the CC Synthesis case is beyond me.
Synthesis was my favorite Caudabe case.

Think I'll throw my Paragon with Ember buttons over on the marketplace, I'm not using it.

lol I use em buddy. Our lifestyles just might be different. I have two very young daughters so I’m not able to keep a sterile environment around me. Also my phone is used quite a bit by me and handled quite a lot by my daughters.

Either way - I’ve had other cases that didn’t scratch easily. That’s not a diss to Caudabe. That’s just a fact. The back on the paragon is a smooth plastic which will always be prone to scratches. I bought the case knowing this full well. I had the Seaglass when it first came out (sold it, didn’t like the colour) and then had Eucalyptus when it came out too (this one just disappeared - I think one of my daughters put it in the bin as she went through a stage where EVERYTHING went in the bin). So I knew what I was buying. I was just offering my views on the scratches as people had asked.

I recently purchased the paragon and couldn’t agree more. It’s an awful case. I requested a return but instead caudabe’s great cs (from my experiences) refunded me what I paid and I ordered a synthesis and keep the paragon.

After 1,5 month with Arc Pulse Alterego I must say that it's most durable edition I ever had. It's mate finish and I still can't see any single scratch.
But, because every case becomes boring, I ordered Pitaka Sunset with Pita Tap. I decided to try wearing old edition of this case and I can't stick with it even for one day! I don't understand that I used to love this case. Now it feels sharp on every edge, not comfortable to hold and my pinkie suffer.
So another case to my collection that I never use 🤣🤣

Whenever my case gets boring, I take it off and bask in the beauty that is the iPhone 16 Pro itself. I may not put that case back on until iPhone 17... well, maybe not. I usually go back after a while.

Virtually impossible to sell a Caudabe Paragon case with extra ember buttons o_O Can't imaging Caudabe is selling many either. Maybe I should try and dump a Sheath or two that are collecting dust over here

I’ll take the Paragon (sent you a PM). No one believes it, but I truly am skipping the 17PM this year, so I’m picking up a few more 16PM cases to get me through the next year.

Spigen just dropped new c11 edition case
