Im from a 14 Pro Max. Dont see any reason to upgrade tbhComing from 14 Pro Max this will be nice.
Pro should be pro. Glad it is this year, so I'll be upgrading from my 14 Pro. 15 Pro was inferior from the 15 Pro Max, and that was depressing. So does that mean the 16 Pro is getting features the 15 Pro Max had but the 16 Pro Max isn’t getting anything exclusive this year?
Coming from my 13 pro, my big likes are USBC C, satellite connectivity (I travel remote desert roads a lot) and better camera zoom and resolution. I may find that the AI support is well worth it too though I'll have to wait and see on that.Geeez, I so wanted to upgrade my 12 pro to get USB C., but I don't think I can justify bang/buck just yet.
I'm guessing you don't do a lot of photography. The camera upgrades are really the main thing at this point since phones are still phones. I only upgrade for the camera.Geeez, I so wanted to upgrade my 12 pro to get USB C., but I don't think I can justify bang/buck just yet.
Exactly. At least not with the phone. I still think my DSLR produces much better images.I'm guessing you don't do a lot of photography. The camera upgrades are really the main thing at this point since phones are still phones. I only upgrade for the camera.
I’ll admit, I feel better when I have shiny new things. Even though it’s not really an investment, I justify it by comparing the features to last year’s model. So when there’s little innovation, it can be a bit frustrating. 😋Coming from my 13 pro it's extra nice. I think it's silly for some to complain that any model only has small upgrades from the prior year. It's as though they're bummed that they get to keep their current phone and not have to spend extra money until maybe next year.
Yup, that is why I did not do a 15 pro, the camera package. I really really do not want to go up to a Max…. There has never been a differentiator between the pro and pro max lineup except for battery and screen size. Now that that is back to normal I will pop for the 16 pro.The Max is basically just bigger. Personally I think that's how it should be. Why should I have to decide between features vs having the size I prefer.
My wife prefers the Max size. I had to tell her she won't be able to lord any extra features over me this time aroundYup, that is why I did not do a 15 pro, the camera package. Apple is charging the same prices as last year for fewer features. For example, the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max were priced at $999 and $1199, respectively, but had more differences between them. Now, the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max are priced the same, but offer fewer distinguishing features — unless I’m reading this wrong 🤷♂️
Yea, my wife likes the Max size as well, just too big for me. I have a 13 Pro why would I want a Max too 🤷🏼♂️. In fact if they put the 16 pro camera package in a mini pro I would be waiting in line for that puppy Like it was was 2007 all over again…My wife prefers the Max size. ...and charging time, and weight.the only difference comes down to display size, starting storage capacity, and battery life.
The iPhone Pro’s take great images when you consider their size. A DSLR is a huge camera compared to the iPhone and my iPhone is always with me.Exactly. At least not with the phone. I still think my DSLR produces much better images.
it’s really close now. Still shooting with a Canon D5, too much great L glass, and Sony mirrorless. And very rarely with a Large Format for black and white, though It has to be pretty special for me to burn any of my old stock Fotokemika Efke R25…Exactly. At least not with the phone. 5d MKII here with a 70-200 L IS f2.8, a 24-70 L 2.8 and a 100mm Macro. And, I don't take very many pictures with that anymore.it’s really close now.
