Diehard Apple fans and YouTube reviewers will. Most other people? Highly unlikely.
Some lifeless Android fans too. The same Ice Universe mentioned here was screaming on his Twitter account for days when S24 Ultra was under development about how Samsung didn't reduce the bezel size enough...

Why do people always say this? It has palm rejection technology. It isn’t possible to do this.
No palm rejection doesn’t work in this case? Thats not what it’s meant for.

Let me give another example, you set a video playing on You Tube, you put your phone down and due to the huge screen you accidentally hit another video in the list that starts playing as you place the phone down, happens all the time...
First world problem.

It does not always work no, due to different angles and so on. This is mainly why people hate curved screens btw. If this tech was compelling, I assume curved phones would have been the de facto standard, and even Apple would have adapted it, but they didn't. Even Samsung has gone back to flat screens.

I already hear „Android had their Bezel-less phone 10 years ago with the sharp Aquos. Apple is alles late and copying android“ 🙄

Ignoring the head and chin, look how thin the side bezels were on the original iPhone:

Because of the notch previously and now the Dynamic Island my background wallpaper usually has lots of black. I’m looking at my phone now and I can’t even tell that there are bezels. If they shave another mm off or whatever no one will even notice.

Who gives? nobody uses iphones without cases. One drop and the glass is broken.
Useless.
I don’t use a case. Haven’t with any models except the curved edges from the 6 through the 11, which I couldn’t grip. I’ve dropped my 14 PM several times on tile here at home, no breaks yet. You can see and feel the scratches and small impact locations when I have dropped it. I dropped my phone even when I did use a case with the curved models.

There are only three ways to get rid of it with current technology:

1. Remove the front-facing camera and FaceID sensors
2. Have a huge bezel at the top of the screen
3. make a hole in the middle of the display for the camera and sensors (lol)

I don't know about you, but none of those appeal to me very much. The notch - while still awkward and unideal - is the least bad alternative of the bunch.
#1 for me and bring back touch id, at least on one device for those that want it

Oh, a problem we didn't have nor ask for? Cool, but I'm still going to slap a case on it because their too damn fragile. Make a durable iPhone and then I'll care. Apple is so tone deaf
Late stage capitalism baby!

As mentioned on 9to5 and 100% correct.

When there's no vision and no ideas, what Apple deals with is the bezels.

Samsung Galaxy had a curved display long ago, and it was a complete failure.

In addition, are the people in Apple aware of the fact that their customers are using phone cases?

So what is new in the iPhone 16, besides solving the embarrassing overheating failure of the A17 chip and heat sinks? A capture button?

Embarrassing stuff from Apple, they still think it’s 2020.

While Samsung and Google are pushing mobile software with AI forward, Apple are doing cosmetic crap like this with no real usefulness for the user.
Curious how the curved display was a "complete failure"? I thought it was great, still own and use a galaxy s9+ with a curved display, it's a fantastic display.

He's utterly insane, and the same goes for "leaker" shrimpapplepro that gets used a lot on here, another obsessed with millimetres and thinks owning an iPhone makes him rich.

Wonder what deep issues they have with millimetres and wealth. 🤭
