The extent to which some of you are so fixated on promoting a narrative instead of thinking about the problem is really something.

Rotate the phone 180 degrees. Now the new camera button is on the bottom, on the left hand side. Actuate it with the thumb on your left hand. Unless you believe that not activating it with your pointer finger is a crisis, I fail to see how it's inaccessible to lefties.

Unlike a traditional camera, the iPhone camera doesn't care what way is "up" relative to the lenses as it uses the accelerometer to determine the true up and adjust accordingly.

Independent of this is whether the iPhone even needed a hardware camera button, but that's a whole other argument.

And what about the poor left-handers who suddenly have this thing under their thumb on the underside as they hold the phone in landscape?
Huh? The phone rotates either direction, no matter which hand is dominant. Left-hander here; I have no issues placing volume buttons on the bottom in landscape. Maybe you’re holding it wrong! It’s all about the pinky cradle. Thumb is needed to navigate.

Also as a leftie, I’ve never had any issues operating a shutter button with my right index finger; it’s not paralyzed, after all.

Not many reasons to upgrade from a 15. Few from a 14. I guess if you're more of a luddite with an iPhone X or 8 then it's worth it

Gruber is a fan of Camera Control. At the same time, it's important to note that its functionality will be fine tuned through software updates. He makes several good suggestions for its improvement.

Almost every camera has a right-hand bias it's true.

But think about it this way: before Apple introduced the camera control on one side of the iPhone, it was a completely "ambidextrous" or "universal design" for photographers. Now it's not.

Old Apple would have known this. It's called attention to detail. New Apple doesn't.

It’s a button, not a golf club. And I’ve never had an iPhone with a mirrored button layout, so I don’t know what the”old Apple” stuff is about.

Don’t you remember that every iPhone before Jobs died had volume buttons on both sides to be fair to left and right handed people?
:p

Despise her. Used to be decent and then it was just too much. Still is now. She makes too much money for who she is.
Many times she just plain silly and I’d rather have someone who is a little bit more mature when they review a product that we pay a lot of money for.

The best looking phone is pretty clearly the 16 ultramarine. If it had 120 hz / always on, it would be an insta-buy for me. I may still buy it as my 14 Pro max is sitting at 86% battery. Not feeling the pro phones this year in term of feature set / looks. Maybe I wait for another year...
I'm bummed that the Pro doesn't come in ultramarine.

She brings the cheer and excitement. I don’t really care about reviewers as there are no in depth reviews like what arstenica or anandtech used to do. It’s all fun and games.i evaluate in 2 weeks and send it back, if it isn’t what I expect.
She’s a breath of fresh air, always bubbly and smiling. Alas mostly fake 🤣

gonna watch some reviews today but I’m definitely upgrading to a 16 pro max even though my 15PM is AI ready.

I just need the bigger space to 512 gb and sell my 15PM for however much I get toward a 16PM

She plays that high school girl role good; she's married with like 3 kids in real life.

People dumb themselves down for a dollar and other chew it up unfortunately.

Left-handers hold the phone upside down (rotated 180 degrees to the left) when taking landscape photos, which places the camera control above their left thumb as they are holding the phone.
Maybe you take pictures this way, but I'm left handed and I certainly don't hold it upside down. Not sure why you'd even need to do that...

Who cares if it is real or fake. No one wants to see a grumpy, Debbie downer. Most of them are for clicks.

now I want to see some iPhone or Apple product reviews done by Debbie Downer!!!

there was this guy who reviewed Tesla 3(or Y?) a couple of years ago. He made it sound like driving a Tesla would eventually lead to destruction of the Earth's environment.... and also something about super heavy EV cars being unable stop in time for raccoons and squirrels on the road. :(

There are plenty. What ever happened to Max Tech.

She knows her audience, and probably has the biggest reach among all other Apple reviewers/social media vloggers.
