Do we need a separate thread to review Justine’s persona or can we move on now?

I'm not usually one to white knight about women bashing online but it's fairly obvious there's a unique focus on iJustine even though she's just one of many """reviewers""" that fails to provide any meaningful critique of Apple products. I really don't see how she's any different from a lot of other reviewers that are basically running through a useless bullet point list of whatever Apple mentioned in the keynote.

I look forward to these reviews but am usually disappointed. They are either over the top fake excitement or miserable people who seem inconvenienced to review the device.

now I want to see some iPhone or Apple product reviews done by Debbie Downer!!!

there was this guy who reviewed Tesla 3(or Y?) a couple of years ago. He made it sound like driving a Tesla would eventually lead to destruction of the Earth's environment.... and also something about super heavy EV cars being unable stop in time for raccoons and squirrels on the road. :(
Indeed. It’s always advisable to watch and listen to both sides of the information from various sources before making one’s own decisions. I concur 😊

most youtube reviews are literally a waste of time, superficial BS, where it's about cinematography and look at those effects and angles. I hate it.

tech review industry is lame...that is all. seriously most people dont need 80% of the **** they buy these days. "me must make informed decision!" for something you will toss in a year to buy something new at the next black friday to fill in the holes of your meaningless life rooted in a materialistic paradigm.

He got barred from Apple events because he was too “honest” 🤣
Dude fudged numbers to get clicks, got called out here. Doubled down and got exposed as fraud who didn’t knew what RAM and swap were to begin with. I wouldn’t use word honest in same sentence as Max Tech.

For sure. Also watching some Series 10 Apple Watch reviewers mention that the "smaller SiP chip" is a feature was hilarious considering that practically means nothing to the end user.

Almost every camera has a right-hand bias it's true.

But think about it this way: before Apple introduced the camera control on one side of the iPhone, it was a completely "ambidextrous" or "universal design" for photographers. Now it's not.

Old Apple would have known this. It's called attention to detail. New Apple doesn't.
Sure it is. You can still use the on-screen controls, just like yesterday or "back in the day". Turn off functionality of the Camera Control button and voila, you're right back to shooting pictures like you did with the first iPhone you ever had.

The action button can be mapped to shutter! Thats on the left if you hold it the other way

Totally agree with you and won’t even watch them. Would rather read an article from a good reviewer instead. Quick to do and better all around.

Do you get blurry picture when using camera button? That’s one of complaints from Engadget review. If that’s the case, then the new button is completely useless.

Im gonna give a quick review. It feels heavier for some reason. The screen size is nice. The weirdest thing for me is that I didn’t even care about the camera button but now having it, it’s really nice. My thumb sits on it in portrait and landscape is also really good for me. It makes taking pictures feel professional.

No I don‘t but I suppose that if you press hard on it and move the phone it can happen
I’m having a hard time using it In portrait tho.. I‘ll spend more time tomorrow figuring it out.
you kinda have to learn how to use the button it‘s very different that the way we use to take picture

I'm green when it comes to photography — is freezing the motion just the term for photographing something in motion?
It’s lot more, and not a new term. Smartphones just make it easier but I have used the techniques on my Canon and Pentax SLRs for decades.

As of this morning, all 4 Apple Stores around are showing same-day pick-up availability for 16 Pro Max and Pro in almost every color and storage capacity. The only one that's not available at all 4 locations are the 256gb and 512gb in black.(only available at 2 of the 4 locations)

How is this possible? I am wondering if Apple made too many or there's simply not enough demand? when the 14 and 15 Pro/Pro Max came out in 2022 and 2023, none of the 4 stores had any until 3 weeks later.

I have a 14 Pro Max. I have the 16 Pro Max 512gb and it's been ready for pick up since yesterday. I'm just not sure if I really want to go through with it. Seems to me that if the reason is lack of interest, the 16 Pro Max resale value will not be so good when I want to sell it in a year or two.(presumably for the iPhone 18 Pro Max or Ultra)
