Belkin is a horrible cheap brand, all products that I had from them broke after few days, which is unfortunate since it looks like they are only ones doing screen protectors with the right size this year.

It's crazy to think we are in October and no company was able to develop a correct sized screen protector for the 16 Pros specially the 16 Pro Max... I guess the dummy model they received to start production as wrong.

I will continue to use Ultraglass Unbreak on mine, they are very similar to Torras but seem they have little less gap, still not perfect since depending on the angle they cover a pixel of the screen with the black borders like Torras, but until they release updated screen protectors there is nothing much we can do.

Let’s hope we’ll see new and refined protectors being introduced the coming weeks. Flolab will allegedly release a new version this month with perfect fit (no covering of the screen).

Amazingthing glass screen protectors have full coverage black borders that doesn’t obstruct the screen border
Can see all the L at 4 corners via the camera app
They have 3 types: clear, matte and privacy
Using the clear one and so far so good
It’s thin at 0.33mm and compatible with my CASETiFY essential case
Clarity is good and feels smooth to use
Only downside is probably it tend to pick up fingerprints and smudges quite easily

Wait... are you from HardwareZone? I was just reading about AMAZINGthing screen protector there and wanted to ask here if anyone has experience with them

So what is the consensus best screen protector for the 16 Pro Max at this stage?
There is no consensus at this point, but if you need something right away I’d suggest the ESR Armorite because it’s thin, decent quality, and reasonably priced. Personally, I’d probably wait for the revised Flolab models which are coming mid-October.

Oh so the flolab should be released soon?

I refuse to buy any screen protector that has no anti dust application, this is mandatory nowadays, before this application method was an extremely stressful process to apply a screen protector
I agree. Any company not implementing this type of install with their screen protectors is doing their customers wrong.

Couldn’t agree more with this. The ESR is good, it doesn’t cover as much as the TORRAS but its marginal. It’s much thinner though.

FloLab has been the best but it covered too much screen for my liking.

The best option for now in my opinion is to stay with Torras or Ultraglass Unbreak since they are very similar, they are far from perfect but there are no better options at this moment

Which Ultraglass? I see a couple of different mentions of Ultraglass now, but I don't know if it's the one I'm thinking of or the Belkin one or a third one with that name...

Not the Belkin, they are crap they use a paper-like glass. Ultraglass Unbreak is the one sold on Amazon very similar to Torras, just compared both and they are basically the same

Ah ok, this one:

yes these are good. The set I got block a sliver of the "L"s in the camera app. and they seem very thick as well.

Depends on your preference, personally i don’t like the black borders and thickness of those and prefer either esr or spigen. With these two id go with esr because i feel like it feels smoother. Rainbowing for me is not an issue unless i REALLY look for it

+1. Has anyone had a chance to compare armorite vs normal esr? On linked video they seem similar but i wouldn’t mind a more detailed subjective opinion

The issue with ESR for me is the big gaps leave a lot of the front glass uncovered

All of this they still do not provide an anti-dust application
They have an excuse in their FAQ:

"
Why don't you use the advanced pull tab installation method?

We’ve tried various fancy tools, but they don’t work well with sapphire because it’s not as flexible as tempered glass. This makes it more likely for air pockets to get trapped in the middle, which are tough to remove.
"

Lots of fancy marketing on the page too. Most of it is probably BS.

Has anyone tested their protectors lately to verify that they are actually sapphire?

They're legit. When I installed mine back when I was using the 15 Pro, the first thing that stood out to me was how stiff the protector was. It doesn't have that little bit of give that glass has.

That thing didn't have a scratch on it when it came to trade in time.

I’ve used them for like 3 years. **** is legit. Even took sandpaper to one once and it came out blemish free lol. Only thing to ever scratch one was when I let my wife make a phone call on my phone and she had diamond earrings on lol

So what is the consensus best screen protector for the 16 Pro Max at this stage?
I went with the $6 3pack of ESR protectors while we wait for a definitive screen protector.

ESR isnt perfect, but for $6 it's way better than I expected. No chance im spending $25/$30/$40+ on a screen protector where I am not 100% satisfied (aka black borders covering the screen, etc).

Will see how long this 3 pack lasts me (im very good with my phones and protectors have lasted me all year sometimes)
