yeah definitely gonna send them an email, but its very very slight, I like the coverage on the ultra glasss but hate the dust build up, this one solves the dust with the glass border, just gotta see what flolab cooks up in a week or two I guess, ill post some pics in a bit

I refuse to buy any screen protector that has no anti dust application, this is mandatory nowadays, before this application method was an extremely stressful process to apply a screen protector
Before sweating and wasting time I find looking at the adhesive side of the tempered glass screen protector before removing the film or applying that is. Check to see if you find any particles of dust present. Some do. Saves a lot of time.

So if your close af to the screen protector you get the full view. But at arm length they cut off if that makes sense lol pictures from my iPad, don’t jusge 😅

I see. That's for me not acceptable. You're not holding your phone that close to the face and therefore parts of the screen will be covered. I would definitely get a refund and wait for Flolab or Shellrus to get the borders right.

Sent them an email. Doubt they’ll tune it tho. I’ll just wait till this breaks then switch to flolab

2 weeks in and I'm super happy with my combination of Belkin UG2 screen protector and Spigen Ultra Hybrid T case. However, due to the small gap between the screen protector and case lip, a lot of dust is beginning to collect in there, which is annoying.

Me too. I tried a few and I was never a Fan of the Belkin ones. For now it is absolutely the best and has good touch response. Also the dust collection isn`t as bad as Torras or Spigen.

I can't help but wonder if these types of installs could leave micro-scratches since you're actually dragging the plastic across the screen. What if hard pieces of dust happened to get in there somehow, or even the plastic itself scratching the oleophobic coating? Of course you probably wouldn't see it afterwards because screen protectors usually hide those types of scratches.

I've never had a problem installing screen protectors the old/traditional way. Get your bathroom nice and steamy to pull the dust out the air, clean the screen, cover the screen with masking tape or use compressed air to make sure there's no dust left on it. Some brands do provide full-sized stickers to cover the entire phone.

That being said, I ended up using an ESR screen protector with the pull tab this year, but still did it in a steamy bathroom in case I needed to redo something...which I did. It left a bubble in the middle of the screen. Rather than trying to squeegee it out, I lifted one end and slowly laid it down again as it self-adhered to the display. I've squeegeed out bubbles in the past and it usually left some sort of rainbowing artifact where the bubble was. (Guessing due to the silicone adhesive getting contorted in that spot.)

I'ts unbelievable, there is nowhere to run regarding screen protectors this year...and the amount of time they are taking to provide a solution is crazy

I've installed at least 20 of these so far from different brands and have removed all 20 to check just for this (friends, family and co-workers). No scratches after inspecting under lights in our lab. I mean it's possible if you're really careless and do it somewhere where you have airborne pieces of rock, glass, sand, etc..

The ESR Armorite is pretty bad. Rainbow light along the edges and now the left side on mine is starting to lift a little along that left side display. Guess I'll pull out the Spigen and give it a try soon.

Huh. There's must be different batches. I installed one and it looks totally fine.
Yes this happens, there is no uniformity on the screen protector production process, tested 3 Torras so far and all 3 had something different, the first one had a bigger gap, the second one a bigger black border and the third one came misaligned

Based on the reviews and posts on this board, it seems like the Belkin UG2 is the best overall compromise (to date).

To me the fit is perfect but the screen protector is fragile. I’ve used mine for less than a week and it’s already cracked along the sides (haven’t dropped it).

That's odd, using mine for 2 weeks now, not a scratch. I use the Spigen Ultra Hybrid case with, and there is a slight raised lip, approx. 1.5mm, with should prevent any impact on the screen.

Yeah, it was the same for me. The rainbowing was very bad. Also with the second Batch I bought 2 weeks later. The fitment is kind of ok. a tiny bit smaller than the UG2

I tried a lot of different Brand that year and I can confirm that. I always hated the Belkin ones because of the ugly cutouts and because they always were only covering the screen and not going over the bezel.

With the UG2 I am happy. It has a very slight Rainbow effect when on a bright white page and when you hold your phone in a unnatural angle.
Overall it is the best for me right now.
