if you have your face within 5 inches its fine, past that corners start cutting :/ time to keep looking lolDoes it cover part of the screen with the Black borders? Can you post pictures of it applied with the screen on?

That's a shame, even their website states it doesn't cover the screen lol all these companies lying!if you have your face within 5 inches its fine, past that corners start cutting :/ time to keep looking lol
yeah definitely gonna send them an email, but its very very slight, I like the coverage on the ultra glasss but hate the dust build up, this one solves the dust with the glass border, just gotta see what flolab cooks up in a week or two I guess, ill post some pics in a bitThat's a shame, even their website states it doesn't cover the screen lol all these companies lying!
Before sweating and wasting time I find looking at the adhesive side of the tempered glass screen protector before removing the film or applying that is. Check to see if you find any particles of dust present. Some do. Saves a lot of time.I refuse to buy any screen protector that has no anti dust application, this is mandatory nowadays, before this application method was an extremely stressful process to apply a screen protector
So it’s covering a bit of the screen? Can you post any pictures? I find it unacceptable for a $80 screen protector to do that. It should be absolutely perfect.if you have your face within 5 inches its fine, past that corners start cutting :/ time to keep looking lol
Be interested to see what this looks like applied.Shellrus didn’t have to go this hard on packaging. They got screws holding in the sapphire portion lmaoView attachment 2435341View attachment 2435342View attachment 2435343View attachment 2435344View attachment 2435346View attachment 2435345
I see. That's for me not acceptable. You're not holding your phone that close to the face and therefore parts of the screen will be covered. I would definitely get a refund and wait for Flolab or Shellrus to get the borders right. So if your close af to the screen protector you get the full view. But at arm length they cut off if that makes sense lol pictures from my iPad, don’t jusge 😅View attachment 2435491View attachment 2435492
Sent them an email. Doubt they’ll tune it tho. I’ll just wait till this breaks then switch to flolabI see. That's for me not acceptable. I can't help but wonder if these types of installs could leave micro-scratches since you're actually dragging the plastic across the screen. What if hard pieces of dust happened to get in there somehow, or even the plastic itself scratching the oleophobic coating? Of course you probably wouldn't see it afterwards because screen protectors usually hide those types of scratches.I refuse to buy any screen protector that has no anti dust application, this is mandatory nowadays, before this application method was an extremely stressful process to apply a screen protector
I've installed at least 20 of these so far from different brands and have removed all 20 to check just for this (friends, family and co-workers). No scratches after inspecting under lights in our lab. I mean it's possible if you're really careless and do it somewhere where you have airborne pieces of rock, glass, sand, etc..I can't help but wonder if these types of installs could leave micro-scratches since you're actually dragging the plastic across the screen. I've never had a problem installing screen protectors the old/traditional way. Get your bathroom nice and steamy to pull the dust out the air, clean the screen, cover the screen with masking tape or use compressed air to make sure there's no dust left on it. Some brands do provide full-sized stickers to cover the entire phone.
That being said, I ended up using an ESR screen protector with the pull tab this year, but still did it in a steamy bathroom in case I needed to redo something...which I did. It left a bubble in the middle of the screen. Rather than trying to squeegee it out, I lifted one end and slowly laid it down again as it self-adhered to the display. I've squeegeed out bubbles in the past and it usually left some sort of rainbowing artifact where the bubble was. (Guessing due to the silicone adhesive getting contorted in that spot.)
The manufacturers are still using or making protectors using the dummy iPhone models and haven’t retooled with actual device spec. Only time will tellSo from what I am seeing, nothing is an exact fit and has light bleed on sides and top/bottom. Crazy how no one can introduce one that fits yet
Huh. There's must be different batches. I installed one and it looks totally fine. The ESR Armorite is pretty bad. Rainbow light along the edges and now the left side on mine is starting to lift a little along that left side display. Guess I'll pull out the Spigen and give it a try soon.
Yes this happens, there is no uniformity on the screen protector production process, tested 3 Torras so far and all 3 had something different, the first one had a bigger gap, the second one a bigger black border and the third one came misalignedHuh. To me the fit is perfect but the screen protector is fragile. I’ve used mine for less than a week and it’s already cracked along the sides (haven’t dropped it).Based on the reviews and posts on this board, it seems like the Belkin UG2 is the best overall compromise (to date).
That's odd, using mine for 2 weeks now, not a scratch. I use the Spigen Ultra Hybrid case with, and there is a slight raised lip, approx. 1.5mm, with should prevent any impact on the screen. To me the fit is perfect but the screen protector is fragile.
